Thanks, I had already gone there but I find it hard to determine who the actual creator is out of all those directors, producers, executive producers etc...so I was kind of hoping a real fan would know and answer my question.

It says that Brad Wright and Jonathan Glassner are the "developers" I guess that would be the same thing?

Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich wrote the script for the original Stargate movie (a few of the Abydos natives from the film also appear in the show).

Wright & Glassner (who are partners for Double Secret Productions)developed the film into TV and wrote the pilot episode together, as well as contributing to other episodes as well a team of staff writers.

Together with MGM and Gekko Film Corp. (the partnership of Micheal Greenburg and Richard Dean Anderson that brought us MacGuyver as well) they pulled this show all off. Gekko took over as executive production at the beginning of season 2. Many of the actors in main roles are well acquainted with each other through work (in shows like MacGuyver, The Outer Limits, Highlander and other sci fi type milleu) and personal friendships with Anderson as well.

s'funny, we don't watch a lot of the usual TV, but like Almalthia has said, we find a good show here or there and end up just buying the box sets.

It is almost worth having part of your scalp cut off and having the wound filled with molten gold. Almost.

On a side note -- this Friday is SG-1's 200th Episode.
It looks like it is going to be awesome and.. RICHARD DEAN ANDERSON is back for an episode.

Peter DeLuise (21 jump street's Doug Penhall) wrote and directed the bulk of seasons 3-5, which I consider the golden age of the series.

pre-ascension... or lead up to... Corin Nemec was season 6, so Daniel ghosted at the end of season 5.

Yeah, that shit was great. I generally despise marionettes, but that part was hilarious. The sense of humor of everyone involved is the best part of SG-1.
