I'm off to buy one but for $450AU I want to make sure its awesome as I 've read some bad reviews. I don't care to watch videos but I want to be able to transfer my camera memory card to it on holidays and store my entire & future music collection. Do they have any notable 'bad' points?

I love mine. A lot. I know people have had problems with theirs, but I haven't had a single problem with mine.

Good luck. smile

I would recommend one thing though, order it through Apple. Unless you have to have it ASAP. You can get it engraved. And the shipping is usually free.

keep in mind that engraving it will diminish the resale value.

if you are a pc user, there are far better devices (better quality screen, better battery life, compatible with more file types etc) than the ipod.

get some of that clear film to protect your screen. they all seem to use a very soft glass.

I don't think I will be selling mine. tongue love

I bought some clear vinyl, that I use to cover my screen. Since I couldn't find a case that had both skulls and a cover for the screen.

i hear it takes a long time to transfer a memory card from your camera and also uses alot of battery power for this function.

I love my 60GB. there was a bunch of problems with it in the beginning, but I found out that it wasn't my iPod's fault, but my custom-made PC's VIA USB ports, so yeah, I love it!!
