I need quick advice!

My friend is coming home from Portland today and I am suppose to pick her up from the airport. Her flight was suppose to get in a over an hour ago. And I still haven't heard from her. In an hour, I am planning on going to see a movie.

I have left her two messages, she has yet to call me back.

Also, I was suppose to take care of her cats while she was away, but she gave that responsibilty to someone else. That someone else has the key to her apartment. So while I can pick her up and bring her home, I don't have the means of letting her in.

So should I sit around and wait for her and miss/go to the movie later? Or do I just go to the movie?

I know I am a terrible friend. But I really want to see this movie and right now I am feeling like a bit of a personal cabbie. And I know that flights get delayed and shit all the time and I know with all this new terrorist stuff that flights are put off even more, but she could have called me to let me know that her flight was delayed. HELP!

No, I took care of her cats last week. When she was gone to east coast for 5 days. I also took out her garbage and did all her dishes for her. I feel so used.

flights everywhere are alittle messed up at the moment, also she might have not been allowed to carry her cell phone on the flight so it might be in the luggage. Id wait in until she calls, can watch a movie some other time.

What airline? You should be able to check flight status online.

If you promise to do something, you should follow through.

skip the movie, it will still be there, go to the airport and look for her....your obligation is to her right now. good luck.

For that matter, you can probably call the airline and ask them.

Well she called me and told me that she had already arranged for someone else to come pick her up. So I was trying to do the right thing, but now I am left feeling used and like I wasted my time.

at least you heard from her, but she shouldnt have asked you to take care of everything, and then get someone else to do it instead and not let you know sooner. Not nice.
