I have no reason to watch SNL now.
So, basically, things haven't changed in the past 10 years or so.
I haven't watched a complete SNL show - let alone a complete season - in 6 years. It's as predictable as a Jay Leno monologue. and as tepid as tap water.
How dare you insult that big-chinned everyman and his various African-American band leaders!

Can we even imagine Weekend Update without Tina Fey?
I still can't imagine it without Norm MacDonald.
Totally agree! I always thought he was great at it, but have been roundly mocked for my view. And yet, why hasn't he been able to make the leap into movies or decent TV? The man desperately needs a new agent.
I thought Dirty Work was very funny. I also enjoyed his short-lived show "Norm"...and almost pissed my pants when he played Death on Family Guy.
I think Norm is funny in the way that is hysterical to people who "get it" and completely baffling to those who don't.

I must be alone in loving the current line-up in the SNL group then. Also, I find MAD tv very bad tv entertainment, it looks like it was made by one of Puerto Rico's local tv stations, and that is way bad!

Thanks for passing that along. He has one of the best deadpan deliveries in showbiz, very Chevy Chase back in the day. Actually, I was hoping Norm would be cast in that Fletch remake that's been stuck in development hell.
