Maryland/DC people?

Does any Maryland/DC people go to any of the following goth clubs/places?

DC: Nations (on thursdays), Midnight (at the Meeting Place on saturdays)

Baltimore: Orpheus or Grand Central (Electroshock) on Saturdays.


My GF and I are always looking for new friends to meet/hang out with and it would be cool to meet some people on here.

I've been to Grand Central!! However I am a resident of MA... I just go to Maryland occasionally to visit Mercie and Morgan

Grand Central is a really nice club with a nice setup. Orpheus is smaller but has more of a tight-knit feel.

grand central is hot but since i spend more time in dc, i prefer nation

great time, can be overwhelming if you're not used to large clubs.
lots of friendly and interesting people to meet. not to mention all of the nook and crannies to explore.
just be careful where you park.

I don't know about the goth scene...
But for punk/rock acts you got the Vault, the Thunderdome, and Brass Monkey in Baltimore
And in DC you got 9:30 club (lot of big-name acts go through there), Nations (Big names too sometimes), the Black Cat (I think Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters actually is part owner of it; great club saw the Suicide Machines there ) and that's about all I can think of.
I don't know how up-to-date any of my info is on those, I've been down in LA for almost a year now, so...

I'm only going to be in DC for about three weeks this summer, so I'll have to pack a lot of living in.

its like.. gay night? heh.. they play like deep house.. i go cause its when my friends go.. id go any night.. but for lack of anyone to go with.. i stick to sat nights when my friends go.. maybe if i can find someone to take me ill head there on a thurs..

You Could Always Hit Jaxx Nightclub in Springfield (like 25 minute drive out dc or ride the metro). Otep Played there 2 times in a six-month period and king diamond shows up every now and then but it is much more metal than goth-driven kinda club feel. I work with the security guys up there so if you ever want a help-out at the door just message me.

we should plan a big field trip to grand central or something..just a thought

Well I'm From Richmond so i gotta drive north while all you DC people get to ride a train there.

Well if any of you ever come out to the DC/ Northern Virginia area i could at least let yall into the Nightclub i work at for free. Just gimme a date.

DC here - never been to Nations - but was queued across the street for a hour or so trying to get my car inspected. Then, it was failed for a gas cap. Repeat process, it seems.

Sadly, folks, pretty soon Midnight will pretty much BE the goth scene in DC, once Nation closes to make way for the.... [choke].... baseball stadium. Anyone else miss ChiarOscuro?

Takakoshi, I'm at Midnight about once, maybe twice a month these days. We'll have to hook up there at some point.

I've been wanting to go to Elektroshock for a long time, but haven't made it up.

I'm sure someone will come out with an alternative to Midnight once Nation is dead. I can't stomach Midnight, so they better.
