if you don't have a lot of time, stop in there for a fatboy and a bloody mary.

i think it's on grand and elston...

confused

fridge?

confirmation?

You're way off, Twisted Spoke is on Clark and um ... well on Clark a couple blocks north of Belmont and a few steps away from Sheffield.

Smut and eggs!!!

There are two Twisted Spokes. You are both correct. The one on Grand in closer to where the OP is staying. So, point for Meaney. Now break and come out fighting. And keep those punches up!

What city do YOU live in? Fucking Wrigleyville on game days. The entire north side is a parking lot with drunk-ass frat boys weaving between the cars and jumping into traffic hours after the damn game, hollering the most clever things they've ever thought of, while the cops ticket every other person for the stupidest shit like smoking near an entrance. Never, never, never will I live there again.

i live in nyc now BUT i lived at 1008 waveland av for 3 years. it was an apartment were we were able to watch the cubs games from the roof.

we all have our opinions of things to do and what not to do in chicago and if youve never been to a game, i thought it was a good suggestion.

as well as a trip up Halsted, or even south depending on the night.

I always like to start my day at the Map Room. That way, I can begin my morning with a strong, cheap cup of Intelligensia coffee before moving straight into a pint of delicious microbrew cask ale.

Also, in recent trips I found Piece and Revolution worth stopping in for a bite and a brew, although be warned - they both get rather packed in the evening.

Be forewarned that the Twisted Spoke on Clark in closed, and the philistine new owners took out the motorcycles out front. As far as I know, the other Twisted Spoke is still in operation.

Let SG Chicago know when you're in town, maybe a group can meet up with you. smile
