Hi everyone! I just moved out to California about 2 1/2 months ago from Tempe,Arizona.
I was just wondering are there any events coming up this month for people under 21? That way I can meet some...cool non-stalker...people here in fabulous L.A.

Hey everybody. I just got back to LA from a stint up in Solano County and was wondering if the usual monthly White Horse gathering was occuring. I'd like to meet some of you folks and see if maybe I can join this group.
If you're trying to give off the "I'm not a serial killer and won't, as a matter of fact, kill you all in your sleep" vibe, perhaps a less....terrifying...profile pic might be a good start.

Damn, today was SGOC's monthly open breakfast in Seal Beach. That's usually what we recommend for the under-21 people as far as open events go. There's occasionally under-21 open events in LA, but nothing is planned now as far as I know.

...unless you are...
...in which case, uh, what meet-up?
LOL Sorry bought that.
Yay! Much better.
There's no event for it on the list yet, but it's tentatively set for the 19th.

hmm...I can go to the Burlesque show right? Maybe that's when I can meet people.

Just make sure you get everyone's site name so they can vouch for you, since the Burlesque show isn't an actual SGLA event.
Hello all! I'm new to SG and (relatively) new to LA. I moved here last summer and spent a year in the Valley before heading up the hill to Pasadena. I love this town.
I have started to develop a great community of LA friends, but I'm always interested in meeting more. I would love to meet up with you all at the next gathering at White Horse. Is it the 19th? Am I welcome? Should I wear a tiara? These are the questions that seem important to me at the moment. I may need more coffee.
Am I posting this in the right spot? I seem to be on October's page. I'm all un-chronological.
Well, I am sorely disappointed by the cancellation of Wednesday's burlesque show, but it like this Thursday is white horse night. I'll be there at some point - see you!

I don't know who's going to be there this Thursday, as there happens to be a large annual regional event this weekend, but you're welcome to come.

What large annual regional event? This is why I need to get into SGLA...
Nah, just join Disney Fans. It's a public event, it's just not publicized on the boards too much because it would rapidly grow out of control. I think it's mentioned a few places on the boards though.
Unless there is some cosmic last minute change of plans, I'll be moving to L.A. Mid-December, although I won't really be able to come to any events until after Christmas, because we will have our stepson with us for his vacation.
We'll be in the Marina del Rey area, can anyone fill me in on what that is like? Or is it one of those have to see it/be there to understand kinda things?
I'm 99.9% sure that this is a public event. It was my first event last year. If I'm wrong and the "Screw off" link doesn't work, pretend that I never posted this.
FOOD: Most years, it's BYOB and pay for food. We're switching it up this year (and not charging a cover like we've done in the past), so bring some food to share (if everyone brings enough for 5-10 people should give us enough overlap to feed everyone). Bring whatever you want. Just let us know what you're bringing so we can have an idea of what's needed.
DRINKS: It's a bar. Vicky's always been great to us, and there's no cover or anything, so please don't bring any outside liquor. I'll figure out whether we're allowed to bring non-alcoholic outside beverages, for those of you who won't be drinking.
Everyone must bring a gift wrapped present valued between $10 and $20, unless you don't want to participate in the gift exchange.
Everyone's name will be placed in hat. When your name is drawn, you get to pick a present. If you didn't bring a present, you won't get a present and you'll be forced to sit in the corner and suck on a lump of coal while everyone else has a good time.
Also, people, please watch how much you drink. We're getting there early, so pace yourselves. We'll be sending people home in cabs if we have to if they drink too much. Don't make this any harder on Vicky and the White Horse staff than it needs to be.
If you're planning on drinking, get a ride, take a cab, take the bus (there are metro rapid lines going along both Sunset and Western), or take the Red Line subway (there's a stop at Hollywood/Western).
