Just one of many great things about Portland.

Another thing that I was noticing the other day is we don't have any area in Portland with a collection of corporate bars/clubs/restaurants. Planet Hollywood, ESPN Zone, Hard Rock Cafe, etc. would just not fit in here. I think that says a lot about our culture.

Fuck yes. Some friends and I took a road trip from LA to Portland for the express purpose of going to Powells, and it was worth every goddamn mile.

yeah, but to counter that, you also have really good coffee shops like stumptown. I really miss the coffee in portland...

that and the strip clubs.

it's been my favorite place to live so far. not sure why i left. oh yeah, i was really fucking broke. one bad thing about portland is your will power is destroyed by the desire to constantly booze it with the amount of bars and fun shit to do at bars with really neat-o freaks and then forgetting to get up in the morning to go to work hence loosing your job hence being super broke. look out for that monster.

i just moved here in august.
it's the most perfect place i've ever lived. so far.
it's lillegail to pump your own gas here, and that still freaks me out to this day... im not used to it. almost eveyrone recycles, people have a good attitude.
the trees are amazing and the leaves are beautiful colours. you are close to mountains and water, and deser.
i love it.

Portland has a meth problem, which is either awesome or terrible, depending on a few different things, including how hungover you are when it gets offered to you at 8 am and whether or not the tweaker actually manages to break into your first story apartment before you break his legs with a baseball bat.

anyone who wants meth can get it anywhere though....

Portland-area resident for 5+ years; I can confirm both these things as happening, and awesome.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Well, I suppose it depends on the people doing the naked. Naked bike ride every summer = awesome. Naked guy walking backward down the street pissing = not awesome.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
Okay, he's still kind of awesome.
