This girl I was seriously in love with lived in Texas and she broke my heart.
For that - you can all take my wrath.
One swallow does not make a summer. Take that as you will.
I've been in abusive relationships with those from Chicago, Massachusetts, Alabama, Arkansas, England.
Honestly, there are assholes everywhere.
At least you loved her and that's something worth doing even if you get your heart broken.
Then, I don't know you so you might have deserved it.
I think it has a lot to do with with giving us George W. Bush, that entire Texas School Board thing with the text books, Perry threatening succession (personally, my opinion is "Good! Texas wants to suceed. Good for them. Seriously, they can't leave quick enough) and the Dallas Cowboys.
Now, I won't hold someoen being from Texas against them, that would be wrong, and I've met a ton of cool people from that state (and Austin from what I hear, really is a great town! The Country music scene is there, and I'm a huge Wayne Hancock and Dale Watson fan!). But, that being said, Texas culture generally offends m to the very deepest part of my soul and is an example of everything that is wrong with the United States. So, yes, I'm going to hate on them, and very strongly. As I told someone at the bar last night, Texas is Gangreen, and we need to aputate before it kills the entire country.
...
That, and the Dallas Cowboys SUCK. I'm old enough to remember them cheating their way to the SUper Bowl several times back in the 90s. I hate that team with a passion. They are the utter embodiment of evil.
I never was there, so I only hear the stories about Texas and they frighten me. You know:
-In Texas it's legal to shoot random strangers in your garden if you (say you) feel threatened.
-In Texas they are now rewriting the history books to make everything more Christian.
And stories like that - I bet it's all wrong and lies and people are totally nice but you just can't see it from here.
I'm from texas, I live in va now because of the military. I've lived in a bunch of other states too, I guess you just gotta find what you like about each state, but its always warm in texas
There's been frequent snow in Amarillo this year, so it's not always warm. Texas is way too killy for my tastes. I think the governors have a competition to see how many they can execute.
I am a proud Texan born and raised. I don't think we should secede simply because of all of the idiots in small towns who would probably end up running our "country" in to the ground.
r00kers, if it was snowing in Amarillo, it was probably hot as shit in Laredo or El Paso.. Thus, it was still warm in Texas.
I cant really say I HATE Tx, but I HATE Killeen Lol We lived at Ft Hood for 4 years and I got sick of everything and everyone there....Austin and SA are really nice places though...
