Open Call for women of all ethnicities for a runway fashion show opportunity. We're looking for voluptuous, tall women with hourglass figures, measurements approximately:
Bust: 36"-40"
Waist: 30"-36"
Hip: 38"-46 and with height around 5'9" or taller.

Please contact us even if your measurements don't fit exactly within these parameters.

Mira Sloane is a 23-year-old fashion student in her senior year at Moore College of Art and Design for Women in Philadelphia, PA. Mira is basing her senior collection on "Neo Burlesque Full Figure Lingerie". She's looking for girls with a lot of curves, tattoos, and attitude. Help her revolutionize the fashion industry!

Maranda Williams is a 21-year-old fashion student, in her senior year at Moore College of Art and Design for Women in Philadelphia, PA. Maranda is a size-positive activist who's interested in using curvy women as a means to display her senior collection of sportswear. Help her wake up the fashion industry to women's real needs!

We want to break the mold. Instead of using the size 2 models provided, we want to you! Help us change the world one stitch at a time!

CONTACT:
Mira Sloane: thesupersloane@yahoo.com
Maranda Williams: marandawilliams@hotmail.com

Or call our info line for more info: (215) 965-4176

Must be accountable and responsible. You will be working alongside professional models in a highly publicized, large production show.

uhhhh.... I'm betting that your "wanted" description fits most women 5'9" or taller, unless they're professionally starving themselves or in the metabolic minority.

We didn't know we couldn't share an account. Apparently we need to sign up as seperate customers? We're trying to find real women to model for us rather than using modeling agencies, although we are trying to revolutionize our school's fashion show we still need adhere to a specific height. As far as the body measurements we have posted specifics measurements because we need to make over 50 sloper patterns. This process takes months of intensive work as well as contant meetings with fit models to provide the best fit possible. We're not saying that anyone should be a certain size, but we do need specifc numbers to work with. An actual industry size 8 (also known as a market size 2-4) measures:
Bust: 34"
Waist: 26"
Hip: 34"
and size 5'9" or taller. We've expanded our measurements to include a larger group of possible body shapes.

We're starting out on our own becuase choose to not work with Ford, Reinhart, or other modeling agencies. Please don't attack us over standards that we're in the process of changing.

At the time, we were unable to use StitchyBitches. StichyBitches fit in the meantime.

We're really trying to focus on the content and the positive intention of this post.

thank you for your comment.

Hey- you'll get kicked off the site for account sharing. Just have one of you take over the account, stop signing both your names, etc. Because they will kick you off for that.

Also- advertising and soliciting models is against the rules as well. Usually that means photographers or other sites soliciting models, though, so I'm not sure how runway modeling fits into that. Either way, people get annoyed (and generally respond with rudeness and flaming) when a person joins the site and starts making these kinds of posts without bothering to become a part of the community first. Your project sounds really cool and I bet you would be able to find some people here interested in participating, but you're going about it the wrong way.

Exactly.

Stichy, most of this is in the FAQ (scroll down a bit on the help page to see it), which is why people are always suggesting that people actually read it.

Again, this thread is yet more support for my suggestion that brand new members shouldn't be allowed to start threads. Just a thought. smile
