Al you know there is going to be a shortage of Mathmaticians, The majority of Scientist are from World War II and alot of them are going to be retiring very soon.
A person with your experience would have know problem finding a job in the Pacific Northwest. This area of the country is a booming as far a Science and Scientific research. The University of Washington is building a huge complex dedicated to gene research etc. Now get off your ass and make shit happen for yourself. Good luck. smile

I think you should do the morning weather on TV. It would help me wake up earlier.

I could use a personal assistant, but I'm not sure my budget would allow an acceptable salary for you.

Find a shit job and apply to graduate schools. Sooner or later you'll get paid to think.

Good luck and best to you.

I've applied to grad school. Apparently I'm dumb.

Also, apparently I don't have enough experience to get a job in the tech market.

I'll sell shoes. Someone give me an in.

A friend of mine who recently graduated with a bachelors in math got hired as an actuary. That's just one example, but there are other jobs you're probably qualified for and don't know it. You're too smart to be selling shoes (no offense to shoe salesman, but).

What did the job placement office at your university do for you?

What's more, actuaries actually make money.

Al, you should be a fetish wear model. You would look better than this chick:

The wig, the boobs, totally an Al picture.

I bet as an Actuary, you would get great benefits. There are many big insurance companies in the Seattle area. I used to work with them while working in the insurance industry in San Diego.

I'm too fat to do modeling like that, belive it or not. I'm serious.

Also, being an actuary would suck my soul ten times more than flipping burgers. Fucking hell, can you imagine any self respecting math major being an actuary? *punches self*

Lastly, since I've been on my roadtrip I haven't been able to go to career services (I didn't go to a university, just a lowly liberal arts college) and I was just wondering if anyone knows of any jobs.

Sadly, the only thing that math majors can do is teach others math. It's a deadly, dangerous circle that leads to old cranky math professors wondering how you can possibly NOT understand something they've been doing for 30 years.
