Hey! I don't hear enough about New Jersey around here. What's going on? Something interesting has to be happening at least at some point in the Garden State. If anyone knows of anything good, let me know.

Garden State was a great novel by Rick Moody, which I bought for my brother in the fantastical idealism that he would read it. cest la vie...

know why you don't hear anything about new jersey?
cuz i don't fucking live there anymore.
I heard the state broke off from the rest of the US and is slowly decomposing because of its lack of Kayla.

really.

Ok, maybe not frown

I was born and raised in Union County. Just left in October to live in California (now known as Kaylafornia).

Actually, the best thing about New Jersey is the fact that the pollution from the Hudson river acts as a barrier to prevent the "We're so much better than New Jersey" cloud from crossing into our state.

NJ is like a good Chinese Buffet; you can sample Philly or NY (whichever one YOU refer to as "the City" if you're north or south). You can surf, you can ski. You can live in a dense town/city and be a half hour's drive from open roads that stretch past gorgeous farms and scenery.

Music is tough, but you can get noticed playing out. Seeing bands is fun too. Starland Ballroom is awesome! And never underestimate a good fest at Asbury Park.
