AandP and I are pleased to present the 2011 Canada East Gala!

When: Saturday, June 4, 2011 @ 9:30 pm

Where: Rancho Relaxo, Toronto, ON

This is the 5th Anniversary of our working together to plan the SG Canada East Gala and we wanted to make it a special one.

Besides our regular "Gala" theme -- we will be introducing the underlining "Canadiana" theme as well to celebrate all things CanadaEast! Look out for bowls of Ketchup chips, platters of Tim Horton's timbits, blowup beavers, maple candies, cutout leaves in red & white and just anything to inhabit the Canadiana theme.

We're going to have cheap Labatts 50 and Molson Stock Ale, two classic Canadian beers. Plus, I'm looking into getting a deal on shooter special on Canadian Club Rye (oh, and Jager - but that's not Canadian!)

Dress up as a classy Lumberjack with some awesome plaid / toque combos. For the ladies, just wear red & white. Either way, let's make this Gala as Canadian as possible!

- - -

Here are a few things to remember...

1) As always, Gala is free of charge! This is a member-organized SG event.

2) This is a 19+ event, but you may RSVP if you/your guest will be turning 19 on or before June 4.

3) Because we're feeling generous this year (its our anniversary!), we're letting all members bring 2-non member guests with them. If for any reason at all either of your guests cannot attend, please let us know in advance so that we can remove their name from the list.

4) More detailed information - including how to send your RSVP - will be posted in a number of the Canadian and East Coast regional groups. As we get closer to the Big Day, we will also post info on hotels and pre/post Gala events in the groups as well. If you don't see all of this good stuff in your group, get in touch with us.

5) A reminder for our American friends: As per the rules of the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative, you will require a passport or other approved document to enter/leave Canada, regardless of whether you drive or fly into the country! For more information, here is a link to the
US Department of State.

As always, we are really excited about the 2011 SG Canada East Gala! We look forward to seeing you there for another evening of fun, prizes, good music, and the chance to meet your fellow members! We hope to see you there! biggrin

It's going to take a Michael Bay-level diaster to keep me and the wife away from it this year.

This is very good, but I would respectfully submit this as the Gala song (especially considering our theme):

Unless you're on the guestlist, you don't get in.
So RSVP. wink
The list is already 75% full.

Well, I myself do not drink so in case of emergency there will be at least one designated driver on the premises. I take payment in poutine.
