hey everyone.

im going to be in minnesota for almost two months, starting in february 2011.
i know its going to be deathly cold but im wondering..... whats fun??

im actually going to be staying in little falls, which i am pretty sure is in butt fuck nowhere, BUT i have a car, so driving places is no big deal.
and also my last week or so will be spent around minneapolis.

I am going to be in Nashville to do interviews for a "celebrity" story for my employer: USA Today...but, being originally from Brasil and now LA, I have never visited the American "south" (excepting New Orleans and few other spots)...
Anyone (with some exceptions, I suppose) going to be in Nashville for the next to weeks and care to meet in person...

I LOVE Minnesota. The winters there are alright if you're prepared for them. The summers are gorgeous.
I'll be in the twin cities for about a week around New Years this year.
I'll bring Nashville with me in my carry-on, just to make this thread right.

I have spent 26 years in Minnesota, and I find I'm still not prepared for winters here.

Coming from someone in the middle of Northern Minnesota, there is a lot of ice fishing. Drinking seems to go hand in hand with it. Can't say that I personally spend a lot of time ice fishing but a lot of my friends do, they even have TV's and PS3's in their ice house. You should travel about an hour north or so and check out the headwaters of the Mississippi River in Itasca State Park. State parks are still fun even in the middle of winter. If I hear of anything fun around February, I'll post and let you know..... I'd say it's going to be cold but being that your from Ontario, this is like going south for the winter right??? If you can't find anyone to take you, my buddies from Minneapolis come up once a month about an hour from LIttle Falls with their ice house camper thing and they are always looking for people to party with.
