You are mistaken, Texans get a bad rap, the state itself is left mostly alone. New Jersey as a locale receives far more indictments, and rightly so.

Well lets think about it. Texans get a bad rap because... well they're Texans. Texas as a state deserves a worse rap then New Jersey simply because of its lack of "good" states around it. You could argue all day that Jersey is weak, but with New york to the north and Pennsylvania to the South west, that region is dramatically boosted. You could say New Jersey is an ok place because it is sooo close to New York and Philly.

Texas borders Arkansas.

actually, the parts of jersey that give it its rep are the parts right out side of nyc and philly. other than, say, camden (which, I believe, burns to the ground annually), and jersey city (which is exactly as bad as it looks on tv), new jersey's quite nice.

texas is pretty nice too, outside of houston and dallas, but I'd take the jersey shore over the gulf coast any day.

only one is from NJ, Sweetie. 6 are from NY. 3 of those are from Staten Island. the remaining dude is from RI. (the NJ and SI accents are totally different, which is why I looked it up.)
