You know what would be a great start? Stop making stupid threads.

But to call them stupid is to judge me.

I thought the community here was against that sort of thing. some people seem to enjoy them and others don't.

Don't tell me what to do and i won't do the same to you.

Don't be a judger and you won't become a judgee

Not exactly bored but I do stay up late and think about things.

I do care that someone takes the time out to personally insult me and my work without actually reading the work

Sorry man, but that's the just way things are here. People do judge.

To be honest, some of the threads you've started have been alright. I had a good laugh. But some have been pretty bad. I think it was just having a slew of them all at once kind of rubbed some people the wrong way.

But, in an effort to make up for being an ass, a real suggestion. Nothing says apology like a cheesecake.

I'm lactose intolerant. can't eat cheesecake.

But I won't apologize for doing nothing wrong. I have seen many threads which seem really stupid and odd. Just because I may start ones that people don't like is no skin off my back

Okay, maybe apology was the wrong word. Your original post said you wanted to make up. I still suggest a cheesecake. But if you're lactose intolerant, I can understand why you would be hesitant. Maybe a nice strawberry Swiss roll...

Deserts solve just about everything. (I think Osama would stop if you gave him a nice fritter...)

The reason other people get away with stupid threads is that they've proven that they are not stupid, and that they care about the community enough not to post something seemingly with the sole intent of dropping the collective IQ a couple of notches. Y'know what I mean? If anyone else came in here and starts right off the bat being silly and dumb, they would also get their asses flamed off.

If you prove that you're an otherwise intelligent human being who's not just out to make this place retarded, people will enjoy the occasional whimsical/stupid/silly post from you.

Personally, I also think people find it odd that you seem to hide who you really are (Daniel Robert Epstein) on this site. Like, for example, the silly threads didn't start coming out when your member name was DanE, but only after you changed it to AndersWolleck. I think a lot of people are also jealous of your position as a writer here. Kind of like "Who's this guy?" I felt the same thing, and so I felt like I had to prove myself to the community. The staff and members have created a wonderful little community here, and since those kind of communities are rare on the internet, people are very protective of it. In short, a lot of people take this place very seriously, even when they're having fun. When a person comes in and appears to be saying, "This place is just a joke for my amusement." people get upset.

So hang around a bit, contribute, be yourself, let people get to know you, and don't try so hard, man.

thanks for the advice Keith. sounds good.

i don't think I try to hide that much.

I am just very shy at times and very very modest. Braggarts make want to vomit.

I don't like to tell people what I do because I am always always embarrassed. I know I have very important powerful skills like tracking down information, people and booking. Those things have always come easily. I look at the computer and all see is a lot of information gathering in my lap. I don't show that off and when people ask me for help I do my best for them. AF will be forever grateful because I hooked him up with Larry Clark and I have a few others in real life.

everything else I do is suspect.

I like to act silly. My fiancé knows that and most people i know, know that also. Does acting silly often get me in "trouble"? Absolutely. Perhaps I've done the same here. I will try to repair those damages but I’m not apologizing to anyone.

the damage I have wrought with my questions is understandable. Sometimes I seem to boggle even my closest friends. But believe it or not Fred Gwynne’s sexuality versus John Goodman’s is something I asked myself. it wasn’t totally random I saw the A & E biography on Fred Gwynne that day.

Morgan also mentioned the being burned to death versurs being fronzen to death. I laid in my bed for 15 mintues thinking about this. The big problem with it is the “to death” part. Take that out and I would rather be frozne because maybe someday I’ll wake up in the future.

I hope I haven’t negated my first two paragraphs with last two.

Also yes all these posts from me as Anders Wolleck came months after I changed my username but yes I probably wouldn’t have done them if my name was still DanE. But I hate the name DanE, bbbbbbbboooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggg. Too easy. I have actually started using the name Anders Wolleck on a few of the message boards I frequent. When you type it into google my posts show up even before the movie I took it from.

To quote poopydave "It pays to have some credibility on this site before starting an 'i'm drunk' thread."

I know your threads were started while sober but the point still stands. build some credibility.

Either that or stop caring all together. It works for a couple users that are infamous in current events.

I never understood why anyone would choose burning to death. It's painful. Freezing to death is more briefly painful because you'll fall asleep from the cold and die while asleep. Yay for that.

In regards to the thread, my advice is to not worry about it. Not everyone here is going to like you. Not everyone here likes ME! Also, follow Keith and Pip's advice.

I honestly have no idea where you got that idea. You can not expect this place to be any less judging than the angry mall goth kids hanging out around the outside of hot topic, hissing at and drawings cartoons of the death of all the kids standing outside around the abercrombie.
Sorry to rain on anyone's parade, but I can't even count the number of tiems I've been called an idiot or stupid or a whore or whatever around here. It just happens...even if those people are some of my best friends.
-Just because someone thinks you're an idiot and makes fun of you all the tiem doesn't mean they hate you....or at least not around here.

Actually, when Cash and I shot our infamous 2-boy set for SuicideBoys, "Cash & Satan: Bitchtitties", he had the most fabulous minty breath- it was like deep-throating a mint julep.

It's his ANUS that smells like a hog-rendering plant. Jesus Christ, man, would it kill you to wipe front to back once in a while?! puke
