what's the harm in going and meeting new people?

I know, I know. I'm just a planner. Spontaneous doesn't work for me. I think I just need you guys to shake me up a bit.

Well, never fucking mind. My husband decided not to tell me he has to stay at work tonight til midnight. Wonderful. So I have no babysitter.

Bring her. This isn't a naked sexy party, it's a bowling meet in a public bowling alley. It's a child-friendly event. I'll be bringing Danger girl (my youngin.)

The only way I could come would be to bring her, and I'd be there earlier, from say 7:30, leaving by 9:30 or 10.

I have no idea what a surreal emoticon means exactly. By way of explanation to my reply. I think its perhaps a bit frustrating on my part that while I would like to join the SGIE group since I
1. Live in the IE and have lived there for 14 years
2 Would like to meet new people that live in my area and
3. Am an active participant on the SG boards (I even own a group). But somehow I am not worthy of joining this group without jumping thru hoops and while I am willing to jump I keep getting stone walled. First its a "I'm not sure when the next event will be" and now this time around its "sorry private event."
