I fuking love my life here...although I swear after 7 years I'm still one of like 2 people I know here not interested in 'the bizness'
anyway. I was riding my motorcycle after work and seeing the sunset before I even got my nite started... which is just ending, and I knew then it'd be a good nite. life is surreal here because it is still what you make it here. there are no traditions.

It looks like I'm being relocated to LA. I have mixed feelings about it. Too many people can make me feel claustrophobic. I think people become desensitized to having people around. You know odds are pretty good that you'll never see that person again. That's weird and unconfortable to me. The good thing about LA is that no matter your into you can find a whole scene of people digging it. That's fantastic. I'm excited to explore all the museums, libraries, and find robots with fire.

While this is certainly true, the inverse also happens on an almost daily basis. Because it is such a huge place with so many people I see old friends I haven't spoken to in years just walking down a familiar street. Of course, this isn't always for the best, but it usually is.

And surprisingly enough, Bean and I see the same people at the clubs and bars we go to. Once you find your niche, it's surprising how small everything is. smile

What I find fascinating about this city is that there is always something going on, you can always find a live show or a dance party or some kind of bar event.

However, the obstacles that usually stand in your way, i.e. traffic, lack of parking, and/or outrageous cover charges and drink minimums tend to keep you home on a Friday night sometimes.

But the awesome gems hidden throughout this wondrous, amazing city are more than worth the hassle.

Life here is always interesting.

I know! Dodger cooties are gross!

LA is great, but would be much better without Jeff Kent.

Amen.

I want to like the Dodgers. I really, really do. Going to a game at Dodger Stadium is a quintessential baseball experience. But while they have jerks like Kent on their team.....not so much.

...Hmm I actually thought L.A. was its own statE......? at least its own state of mind ....yeah to answer alot of the same responses ...I have to say L.A. is really really small ... there were people I met 6 years ago who seemed like minor players in my life only to become major ones much later.....you do run into people at the oddest times and places here......I think maybe I go between so many of the different worlds or subcultures here that it throws me off balance a bit of belonging to any specific one ........ plus trying to get into the biz can over dominate ....what I have really learned here is that if you focus your thoughts and do not really attempt anything then things start happening or you run into or meet someone painstakingly interesting .....a major kool thing for me was that I live on the same street as ann Magnuson ..(...if any one knows who that is.....) ......and have become friends with her..... I love the dream factory....
