While not disagreeing with your well put argument...think about it...who needs more validation, men or women? Maybe its a want/need thing...women need validation, men want it.

The most attractive man/woman is one who rises above these needs, while still maintaining the want. Does that make sense?

P.S. I find suiciety's comment an incredible validation of my post on "human beings" unbelievable timely...interesting dude...

You may want to just consider moving. I've heard that single women outnumber single men in this country, but the concentration varies by region. Around here it's not that difficult to find good looking, single women. And most of the women I've talked to complain about the difficulty in finding a straight guy who's looking for a relationship. I've even had women hitting on me at bars. If Texas isn't your style, perhaps some of the other board members could suggest some other regions where the women outnumber men?

The thread was in response to women and their choices in men. The reponsiblity of those choices and in the dialogue on this thread to crack the myth and expose a glimmer of hope instead of the dark chasm men as a whole are tossed in. It was also a way to create a forum.

I don't think men are bad and women are good. I think a lot of men are more prone to be biased with their sexual appitites when dealing with women and that this is a bad trait, but I don't think all men on the planet fall under that category, there are definite exceptions.

Women can be just as bad too; but I think they're less inclined to base everything on physical attraction.

A surplus of single girls? Do you mean the old, homeless ladies with missing teeth who talk to themselves? I find it quite impossible to find a girl who doesn't have a boyfriend or line of men waiting to be her boyfriend. I would say Telegragh Ave. in the Berkeley and Rockridge area has a slightly better scene. There are quite a few SG types there especially at bookstores like MO's and Cody's.

Austin and SanFran do rock when it comes to women...heck, so does Mpls, just harder to find.

BeBop...dude, I respect your steez, but women SHOULD be treated like Princess's. They are a treasure to be showered upon. Trust me, you treat them like a princess, they'll treat you like a king, if not...you got the wrong girl.

Are you kidding me? I'm trying so hard to meet lesbians around here and they don't exist! If they do, they are either 16 or 35.

I'm not sure I understand what this thread is about. Are you saying women generally choose bad men or does society preceive men in general as bad in comparison to women?

I haven't been out there post .com crash, but you would think the flight of yuppies would improve things on a per capita basis...sounds like not. And yeah, what the hell is this thread about?

Well it has come full circle. Go into the journals on this site. That will answer any remaining questions and supply answers. That is what inspired the question plus many cups of coffee.

Being a woman does not make you a treasure. For every good, virtuous, well-meaning woman out there, there are ten self-serving ones who only see men as a vehicle to an easier life, who use men to get what they want.

Treating a woman like a princess does not ensure you'll be treated like a king. If anything, you'll give and give and give, and they'll just take and drop you when they're done with you.

Not that men aren't the same way; they are. But no woman is a temple, so don't treat them like one.

I don't beg...apparently you equate treating someone like a princess to being their bitch. One of the best lessons I learned in life was to never be anyone's bitch... I'm talking about random acts of kindness, keeping your word, loyalty, complimenting the little things they do...Sounds like your kind of a behind the scenes person, me too...that makes it more difficult to meet women, I agree. Its a fine line between getting out there and staying true to who you are...The thing is...defeatist attitudes aren't attractive...
