"Laurelin" is a nerdy Tolkien reference. Laurelin means "song of gold" and is the younger of the 2 trees of Valinor in The Unfinished Tales. I'm over 6 feet tall and occasionally referred to as "Tree" so there's that for ya.

It's an ongoing joke that if I'm ever famous I'll have to create a perfume and call it 'Ristique, by Mikki Ristic'. (Mikki Ristic being my real name.)
