it JUST came out of 3 years of beta testing in March and the servers are having problems coping with all the people...hell, after 3 years you'd expect this thing to be perfect, but alas, its far from it...the lag issue is slowly being resolved, but many players are pissed and feel cheated out of their "free" month of play...but yeah, i you played Everquest, Asheron's Call, or Dark Age of Camelot and enjoyed it, or even Diablo 2, you'll love it! (its all mouse controls to move, like Diablo...)

Shadowbane isn't even close to a level treadmill. You can hit the level cap in a month and a half of casual play, sooner now the guilds are established and your mates can help you power level. Bugs/poor launch aside, it has the makings of a great mmorpg. The only foreseeable treadmill is the insane amounts of gold needed to keep high ranking cities maintained. Hopefully mines or some sort of npc farming will take care of that later on, allowing us do what is expected: Kill each other and politic.

I got sick of Ebonlore's bullshit, i had to leave that fucking server, 59 lvls as a thief and i owned a city a guild, but i got fucking sick of it

oh yeah, i'm a 52 Scout/Huntsman on Death...Inner Council of a MWH subguild...got a Thief to lvl 30, i love him Gave him Huntsman for tracking, currently dual-weilding daggers for insane damage...

and no, SB is NOT an XP treadmill...far, far from it...its all about guild/player combat...controlling the good mobs is crucial, though, for cash/item farming to support your nation...you build your own towns, place your own vendors, set prices, manage what they make...its a very vast, very incredible game--what all the other MMRPG's should have been...but yes, the bugs do get frustrating, and theres plenty of exploits out there that the "bad guy" nations take advantage of constantly...its a harsh existance (especially since our arch-enemies are currently camping our ToL so we can't even go home) but its a great game...i'll wait it out for a while longer atleast

It is amazing it is like old school UO before they put in red penalties and fucked thieves over. Yah the bugs are pretty painful I pretty much POK anywho i want. But the bugs arent liek the fun bugs UO had lik ehouse break in and such. they are the kidn that maskes your client crash constantly or your sound drag, or qwhen i goto backstab someone i apperar and nothing happens

i turn all sound off via preferences, causes framerate lag for me for some reason..and theres no a lot to hear as a scout, mainly just need to keep my eyes open lol...

yah but i cant even run winamp in the background for MP3s it drags everyhting out, it sucks makes winamp slow down to a crawl and fucks up sounds, the memory leak needs to be fully fixed too

hell, i can't even alt-tab effectively... i'm running a decent comp too...its not top-of-the-line, but it suits my needs...hey, i even had my own bug! My main couldn't be logged in without crashing after 5 mins, i had a funky message in my System text just before every lockup, and it got to the point where he was the only character i coudln't log in...went through e-mail sessions with 3 CCR's and it finally had to be forwarded to Tech Support to figure it out...couldn't log my main for 3 days straight, thats when i made my little alt funny how all my other chars loaded fine...but i killed our enemy guild leader he was AFK, alone, sitting down at half health...i just stealthed up and backstabbed him, then beat the hell out of him...was hilarious to see him scream at me after he got back had 50k on him and plenty of spiffy loot too

I killed the ELs guild leader Ewle so many times, one time i killed them while she was ranking thier vendors in thier city so i looted 15 million, i was laughing so hard iw as falling out of my chair. I also had a "FC see invis" ring, that i stole from a GM during an event in khar., it gave me full see invis ability on my thierf, i cvould see anyone no matter how high thier hide or stealth was, i was fucking invicible, appearently i was not supposed to have it,m and the GMs took it fgrom me , because this douche bag ratrted me out

lol, well this guy is a big badass R6 warrior, and this is when i was playing my thief, who was R2 at the time...i mean, this guy very very rarely dies in combat...always gets summoned out or wins but damn, that ring would be niiiice i have DH and sneak GM'd on my scout, but its hell having to push the button to detect over and over...then we have shitty stam so i have to rest constantly...

yah i figured out the ultimate PK template BW/scout?blackmask, if they would fucking fix athletics it would be usefull but im not riasing it at all like it is. yathat ring was amazing it was like having GM witch sight

hehe, my scout already rocks...the enemy guild is begging me to change sides cuz i keep foiling their thieves...they have good scouts too, but they're idiots...they can do their job, but make stupid mistakes...

that temp would rock man, but theres no range...it would work if you had all the pieces though BW is hard to find though...going for up to 400k on our server

i scammed it for 40k the other night, and i got runecaaster for the healing spell on it, with one traning point it heals 300 sitting down and 150 standing up

damn dude...i'll have to look into that...i have Huntsman on my scout and thief...but Scout track mixed with Huntsman track is bugged...track is GM'd at 40, and with Hunts, the GM is set to 80...but anything over 40 is translated in the coding as "1" to prevent exploiting...but oops, they fucked me up the ass instead... Love my pet though, he can really ruin a caster's day

what would be the pointof having track over 40? i dont think it is really nessasasry

Its not...its a bug, it shouldn't really take it over 40, but it should grant those without Tracking the skill...i took Huntsman cuz i wanted the pet, and the trainer can take my Archery skill up...

You know, I'd play this game if there was a damn Linux client for the thing. The petition's going strong though...

lol, sometimes i wonder if its truly worth the headache...i'm going to bed now, and i have to be up in 4 fuggin hours cuz the big bad-ass nation on the server dropped a bane on us...our city is in shambles as it is, so we're all massing tomorrow for one final defence, then a big push tomorrow to hopefully wear them down a bit...not looking forward to getting up early, but i sure as hell don't mind spilling their blood!
