I love the house and d&b. Actually I saw Mr. Mushroom Jazz himself, Mark Farina at the Ohm last friday, it went off till way past 4am and then I went up to the "Sound Lab" (I think it's now called), which used to be AEROspace in Seattle on Saturday for a nice nite they call "Heaven". It was quite fun. Saw a cute little red head girl with a SG tank on at the ohm, should have talked to her but I didn't, oops! Is it you?

I love going to raves but I haven't been to one in quite some time, and I'm not really juiced into the scene here in Portland, so I don't know what's going on out there. I'd be way down to check one out though.

years ago, i was a little raver girl up here in toronto. i love to dance and i loved the scene entirely. i went pretty much every weekend for a couple years. then things changed drastically. too many politics. too many stupid people fucked off their faces and sitting on the floor where i wanted to DANCE. i haven't been to one in about 3 years...

What's kind of funny is that me and Freyja and Luna all sorta more or less met on the NYC Raves mailing list maybe like five years ago, and then I discovered them here again. (I think Luna and I internet stalk each other regularly because we're also on the same Unreal Tournament server)

Count me in a post POST raver then i guess.

Oh yeah, and ClickBeepTss is an honest to god midwest DJ. She even has "PLUR" written on her in permanent ink i hear. Maybe go bother her some.

Nope wasn't me. I never partied in Seattle, nor do I really want to. I like the smaller parites. Not like really small, but not massive. I prefer Psy-Trance parties cuz its all the hippies. I like hippiessmile

I have had a chance to observe and expereince the Portland rave scene. There seems to be 2 different scenes--the one I don't like is the one filled with drama, and attract crowds that I dont really fit in with. The ones I have enjoyed are more spiritual based--its the true unity, love, ect ect. Let me know if anyone wants a ride, I have been going by myself lately and would love the company!

I agree with MONICA - psy-trance is totally slammin'! I have never been to a rave, but have always liked electronic music - going back to AMAZING artists such as Kraftwerk,Tangerine Dream, GONG, Mike Oldfield, ENO,JeanMichael Jarre etc....Mix together HOUSE with bits of the former and you get sheer eargasm.......

i've been DJIng in and around Detroit for the last couple of years...a few gigs across the country as well.
I will be plaing in Syracuse this summer if anyone's interested in coming out.. i am also djing off Ipods for Apple in 3 weeks in Chicago.....
Raves have all but driend up around here-the Gang Squad here was relentless on getting us "damn kids out of the city".
You'd think with all the empty burnt-out buildiings here we would find a way to keep it all underground, but clubs have become the new raves...
personally, if i dont have to see any more big pants, candy bracelets, visors and glowsticks ever again that would be great.. that shit always made me want to vomit..

I was worried he was going to mention me too for a second there. We were always more or less club goers anyway.
