Twitter, virb, myspace, SG, facebook, downelink....how in the fuck can one keep up?

I use Technorati.

Enough already.....

To be fair, I'm only on Twitter, MySpace and SG, and then Technorati to keep track of them.

That's not that bad...

Twitter for stream-of-conscious things: I'm doing this; I'm going here; what do people think of this or that
SG for my main blog
MySpace for blogs that I can send out to my parents and coworkers

That just seems like too much work.

It's a lot less work than explaining to everyone at work (a building full of 60 year old conservative engineers) why my blog is on Suicide Girls.

And Twitter I update from my phone, or from IM.

Cool.

I am of the mind set, that if I can't tell my mom or dad, then I shouldn't be doing it. My parents know all about SG. I have tried to get my mom to join. And people I work with, I don't really give a fuck what they think about what I do on my down time.

I don't think my parents would be so bad---it just hasn't really come up.

The problem with my coworkers is that we're a defense contractor, and they might somehow think that being on this site meant I am unstable in some way, and it might jeopardize my job.

It's just easier not to bring it up.

why do you need to tell your coworkers about your blog?
maybe it's just me, but the less my work knows about my personal life, the better i feel.

I just give them links to individual posts---most of them don't know a thing about blogs.

For instance, I made a MySpace entry for my wedding, and a lot of the ladies there wanted to see it.

I personally like watching Twittervision, It's like peering into the mind of the Borg Collective.

Mind-numbingly fascinating.
