It sounds cool, but most of all because I know nothing about it. (intrigue etc)
is it anything like CD:UK?
I wanna ask real questions but I guess I have to prove I'm not a fuckwit first.

I've just found this site and I think theres loads of interesting stuff going on,
but don't know where to start.
Any info gratefully received x

Hi, welcome to SG smile

SGUK is one of the regional groups, found in the groups link right at the top, which I don't know if you know about the groups, but they're like another huge set of forums, some open to the public, some private. Like the huge majority of the other regional groups, SGUK is private and has a set procedure for joining. This is because meets are regularly organised in SGUK and we need to take some precautions to make sure that members and SGs there can feel comfortable. We have, in the past, had problems and removed members from the group etc etc. The way it works is every couple of weeks or so the group leader makes a thread in SGUK with the names of all the people who have applied to join, and members need two vouches from different people in the group to get in. So your best bet is to hang out on the boards a bit, read the UK-centric threads, visit the journals of people who post there and leave comments and so on. Alternately, there are occasional (every few months or so) public meets you can attend to give people a better idea that you're not some kind of horrible axe-murderer.

You be quiet or I shall string a piece of barbed wire through your entire digestive tract and floss with it until your insides are turned to jelly.

Now that the answer has been given this thread will quickly span 39 pages of people talking about, well, all sorts of stuff whilst calling each other spazzy bummers etc.

Thanks,
you pre-empted and therefore killed a potentially interesting and entertaining thread (my first, that I started) when it could have gone on to greater things.

hi to you whomever is reading this,,

erm i feel almost ashamed, but ive got no tats at all! - maybe im here for a conversion, I've always had this thing about 'goth lite' girls, and have been to the lost vagueness festival and revelled in its burlesque charms, but dont really know if im likely to find similar minded flk here or not, I dont even listen to punk, more e;electronica and downtempo is my bag, although I did a pretty dark Dnb Track whih you can check out called CLean the Needle at www.myspace.com/bluebook1 altho im definetly not here to try and plug that so feel free not to bother checking it out, or imply to cuss me for it here.

Anyway - hope your having a good one - maybe speak soon!

You should be more ashamed that you're apologising to people for not having tattoos or for your choice in music. Grow a pair!
Also, hello, I'm in Brighton too. And far prefer electronica to punk.

My personal advice about making friends here is to keep your references to 'goth lite' to a minimum.

goth lite girls taste great and all, but I find them to be less filling personally.

Plus Goth Lite Girls are full of aspartame, and doesn't that give you brain tumours or something? Personally I prefer Goth Girls, but not the American ones, because they use corn syrup instead of proper cane suger.
