The only remake I've seen in years that was worth a crap was Burton's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory".

Dawn of the Dead - sucked and missed the point of the original
The Hills Have Eyes - should have poke my eyes out instead
Ring 2/The Grudge - does Hollywood understand what Japanese horror is about and why people love it?

Actually, pretty much anything remade in Hollywood sucked harder than a crack head "working" for some drug money.
