Last chance for romance.... I'll be up there on tuesday until saturday of this coming week. If anyone has any last minute info or places I MUST visit while I'm there please let me know before monday!
Thanks again to everyone that helped me out in this thread!
Hello everyone. Now I'm planning a trip up to Seattle. Any tips on where to stay? Or at least the area that I should be looking to stay in? Thank you much.

What are you planning on doing while you're here? Is it work related or are you being a tourist? That info would help as far as recommendations go. If you're looking for a hotel I'd suggest anything in the Seattle Center/Downtown/Capitol Hill area. DO NOT stay in a hotel on Aurora unless you're looking to pick up hookers or heroin or something. The only hostel that I know of is on 3rd ave downtown. I hope that helps some.
Not sure if you still have questions, but I've lived here for seven years. My work takes me all over the country, but Seattle is still one of my favorite places.
Pros:
Great food (and I know a good Mexican joint!)
Incredible summers
Good music scene
Proximity to outdoor heaven
Natural beauty
Polite people
Sport
Burlesque!
Arts in general
Cons:
Political jackassery (I'm lefty, but the many of the libs here are smarmy yet afraid to actually risk anything)
Not always easy to make new friends
Moisture
Fucking expensive Real Estate
If you have specific questions, feel free to ask. I live in Ballard, but I also lived in Belltown for a while. I have friends all over the city.

Check out the Ace Hotel in Belltown. It's very affordable and has close proximity to just about everything that matters.
