I've noticed a couple of things about the tags on the photo sets:

1: Certain words cannot be tagged. (i.e. "flawless")

2: I have a theory that certain words are tied to certain members. For instance every time I tag "explicit" Salome is credited with that tag, and "big booty judy" credit goes to Rox even though she is archived and I believe has been for a while now. It doesn't seem possible that the same people beat me to the same tags every time, especially when they aren't active on the site anymore. Two more: "work of art" always comes up with Dr_Zoidberg and "wife material" always credits agamemnoch whose accounts have expired.

And I'm guessing that a tag doesn't appear until two people tag the same set with a similar word or phrase?

Anyway, no complaints, just curious about this little mystery I've found. If this has been answered in some FAQ or previous post somewhere, link me to it, and forgive me for a repetitive post.

Cheers

THE NAME NEXT TO THE TAG IS THE ORIGINAL AUTHOR OF THE TAG.

All subsequent uses will be attributed to the originator NOT THE LAST PERSON to leave the tag.

No matter how many times I tag a set "CITM" it will always be attributed to Fractal.

i'm not sure why certain words can't be tagged (i've never tagged a set).

when a new tag is created, the first person to ever use that tag is the username credited to it.

the reason that archived or inactive members names come up after using a certain tag is because they were the ones that used it originally.

edit: Brokk beat me to it!

When a tag gets blocked for being a bad tag*, it gets deleted and can't be used again.

* What makes a tag "bad?" Let's take the tag "flawless" for example. That word isn't particularly descriptive. It's entirely subjective, and isn't going to help anyone find anything, ever. Two sets tagged "flawless" may have absolutely nothing in common, so it's really a terrible tag. So at some point, someone saw "flawless" and blocked it, and it's gone forever. "Flawless," with other such subjective terms, belongs in a comment, not in a tag.

Those tags are all pretty useless and would work better as comments. Tags are supposed to help people search for sets. I don't see how "big booty Judy" helps anyone find the set.
