STAFF PHOTOGRAPHERS

Im kind surprised that there isnt already a topic in the boards for this. As some of you may be aware, SG has let go of a lot of Staff Photographers... A lot of GOOD photographers. I have been seeing a lot of flared tempers and talk about this all day. And while it is great that they brought back DarrylDarko and Writeboy there are still other great photographers that didnt deserve what has happened to them. I think we should tell the staff of the other photographers that deserve to get their title back. Please feel free to weigh in on this

I want to nominate ScottSmallin and Lorelei. Both are excellent photographers are are also really good people to begin with.

As a regular, Joe Shmoe member of SG, I'm a little out of the loop on exactly what's going on with all this, but I strongly agree that Lorelei should be a staff photographer. She's shot really a lot of awesome sets for SG, the models seem to love her, and she's just a cool person in general. So, yes please SG management, bring back Lorelei as a staff photographer.

Please, staff, do the smart thing and bring back ScottSmallen and Lorelei. It wasn't a wise move to strip them of their titles in the first place. Changes most likely do need to be made, but these were not the right ones. Thank you.

Every time she has a set out that she's shot, I look at every shot in it. I don't do that w/any other photog, really. She's the real deal.

you know, i didn't realize how many of the sets that i really, really loved have been shot by Lorelei until i went through her SG Photos page.

i think it's really unfortunate that she, as well as Scott, have not been reinstated.

to put down their work in the process is really disrespectful and upsetting.

its rather appalling really, dumping photog's that have proven themselves time and time again that they could produce not only top quality/ polished sets but that really bring out who these girls are on the inside. because thats what SG is supposed to be about right? hot chicks that have their own spirit and attitude with tattoo's and mods to boot?

it was bad enough that you turned every set submitted into a hopeful set. turning nearly every set into a contest to see who could show the most vag to get votes instead of creating a theme or show the girls personality. but now this.

these people have invested themselves into what SG stands for. they as much a part of the site as the girls are. these photographers bring out the best in the girls so please reinstate them.

Shady way to deal with your business partners, SG. It's none of my concern if you want to make changes to your pay structure, but this seems like a callous and disrespectful way to treat people who have been major contributors to your site. Shame on you.

Sadly this action doesn't surprise me. It seems that every now and then the 'staff' (who are notably quiet regarding this action) acts in a brutal, self-serving manner. If there are cutbacks to be made, they need to be made with full disclosure and fair warning.

This site exists only in part for the casual wanker, it exists (at least for me) as a community, and as such, the community needs to be respected. Even more so the women in front of the camera and the men and women behind them. It is no small thing to undertake these sets in a way that is empowering as well as creative, artistic, and erotic.

Nude pictures abound on the internet, and, tiresomely, in MR here. SETS are quite another matter. Experienced photographers that the models can trust, trustworthy individuals that have repeatedly proven their worth for rather modest recompense (all things considered) are hard to come by.

These actions are surely killing the golden geese and breaking all their eggs. Truly, if it weren't for some of the groups and friends I connect to through this site, this would sufficient cause to end my participation here. I think it would be wise of the staff to make a formal apology for the manner of their actions, and to make a clear explanation of them. It would, of course have been more mature and clear-sighted to do so before taking these actions, and wiser still, to simply work out a modus vivendi with all the staff photographers, even if some reduction had to be made.

Both ScottSmallin and Lorelei produce amazing work and each has their own distinctive style, which I think is a vital part of SG.

I've worked with Lorelei a few times, and not only is she an awesome photographer, she is a wonderful person. I will continue to work with her, even if it's not for SG.

way to kill the diversity of sets even more sg. its hard to be alternative when every single set you buy is exactly the same

Amen. Letting go of photographers like this and keeping ones who refuse to work with larger body types is something I am not suprised at all about.

You know for years I have been a member of this site. It didn't matter if I was stationed overseas or in the states. The only time I didn't have a membership was when I was living on board the ship. Yet lately it seems that the site is headed for the waste can. To get rid of some photographers I can understand. But to get rid of those that have worked so hard to make the site what it is. I mean look at the reaction you are getting from the members. Lorelie, ScottSmallin and DarrylDarko , come on. You get rid of the guy on the day that one of his sets is on the front page, really. All of these photographers have shoot the sets that I have loved recently. Is this really how you want the site to be?
