I talked to one other member about it, so it's not just me. Two people's opinions!
Most of the new sets look different to me. The colors look more saturated. The composition looks similar. Is there more photoshopping going on? Maybe someone with a better eye for photography could explain it better. So I open it to you, my fellow people with eyes.
Look at these sets to (possibly) see what I mean ... and also because these women are fun to look at.
I don't think you can put it down to any one thing as every photographer either preps their own sets or has someone else work on it for them. Therefore there's a good number of different people prepping the sets. So, in other words, no I dount they're being photoshopped to look that way. At least, I haven't had that memo where we're being told to do this (-;
You could just be noticing a trend in photographic styles (yes, this does happen as well as fashion). Or maybe it could be put down to the darker and less colourful background surrounding the photos as they're displayed in the gallery? (i.e. a grey, dark background will allow the photo to "pop" out more and look more colourful than a bright purple background).
Also, I'm afraid I don't see any corrolation between Nixon's set and Sophie's set. They are both very different photographically, stylistically and photoshop-wise.

Well, there is that whole "brutally absurdly hot naked chick" correllation.
