Try checking the photography groups. I'm sure they've probably discussed equipment.

In the SG Photographer hopefuls group there have been many a thread discussing equipment and set ups for SG shoots. SG Photographer Hopeful Group.

In the regular Photography group there have been hundreds of technical threads about equipment and set ups for general photography from pin-up style shoots right through to action shoots. Photography Group.

Some photographers are more open about their setups to the public than others.
