Does anyone know if webcams are down for some reason?

I'm running my Logitech cam for notebooks on WInXP using Webcam32 for the FTP upload. Has worked many times before, and now it goes through the motions of uploading, but with no result on SG. Settings haven't changed, and my cam is working with other apps.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

OK....found a similar thread and have since downloaded and installed Dorgem in lieu of using Webcam32. It tells me that the images are storing successfully to ftp.suicidegirls.com. Still, nothing is showing up.

Eh. They've been tooling around with 'non-essentials' for weeks now... the virtually unused metaWeblog interface has been castrated (everything works... editing and all... except posting new entries) most if not all of this month. whatever

Thought so. Thanks for the quick response.

Interesting... I just tried running mine (Apple iSight using EvoCam software), and though I've done the SG webcam thing hundreds of times, it does not appear to be working.

Posting new entries should still be working. If it's not working, it's because no one has reported it. Which application are you using?

As for the webcams, they should be back up soon.

Okay, the webcams were working again. The problem turned out to be something really simple that I had been missing this whole time.

Homegroan (sic). Turns out I was sending a fucked Content-Type header so the server wasn't parsing my POST data and kept returning "method not found" errors. Meh, don't ask how someone could misspell 'xml'... blackeyed
