http://suicidegirls.com/help/#faq4.14

You just need to download version 6 or higher of iTunes, and version 7.0.3 or higher of Quicktime.

Once you've installed iTunes and Quicktime, go to our iPod page and click on the link that says "SUBSCRIBE TO VIDEO PODCAST". (If you get a prompt, select "Open" or "Open with iTunes". Do not select "Save".) From there, it should magically work. iTunes will fetch the videos, and open up Quicktime for easy viewing.

If you use podcast software other than iTunes, or if you use an operating system other than Windows or Mac, then you probably already know what you're doing. Right click on the RSS link, copy the URL, and paste it into your podcast software of choice. Please note that we only support provide support for people using iTunes.

What browser and what version are you using? If you are using IE 6 or Firefox, try quitting and restarting the browser and trying it again.

If that doesn't work, instead of clicking on the link, right click on the RSS button, and copy the link (don't copy the image). Then, go into iTunes, go to Advanced, and select "Subscribe to Podcast". Then paste the link you copied earlier. The link should be http://suicidegirls.com/rss/video/

ps. I would love to know if these instructions worked for you, and also what browser (and what version) you are using. You can usually find out by going to the Help menu and selecting About.

Knowing what worked and what didn't will help us make the podcast as easy as possible to use.

In iTunes, go to "Podcasts", click the arrow to the left of "SuicideGirls Video" and press the "GET" button for each video you want.

or, go into your iTunes preferences, click on Podcasts, and for the "When new episodes are available" dropdown, select "Download all".

I am having problems getting both the video and radio podcasts. I have itunes 6 as well as Quicktime 7.0.3.

First I just clicked on the links, I would choose "Open" -> "Select the program from a list" -> the choose itunes, but nothing would happen. So I right clicked on the links, choose "Copy shortcut" went to itunes choose "advanced" -> "Suscribe to Podcast" and pasted the URL. I would pull up the show in the Podcasts list, and would give me the show description, but it also had and error. The error says "There are no playable episodes for "Suicidegirls Video". The URL might point to text-only episodes, or contain file types that itunes cannot use."

I am using IE 6 if that matters at all.

Any help would be appreciated.

You want to open iTunes, and have the Podcasts panel open. Then while on http://suicidegirls.com/ipod/ click on the pink rectangle that says RSS and drag it into the Podcasts panel in iTunes.

The word links don't seem to work with that method.

If anyone is having difficulties figuring it out under Windows this may help, i tried it out on our PC out of curiosity and it worked ok.
Ensure as has been said over and over that you have iTunes 6.0+ and Quicktime Player 7.0.3+

Open/Run iTunes -> go to Advanced -> Subscribe to Podcast...

Type the following for the videos.... press OK

Type the following for the radio shows.... press OK

iTunes will then download the latest released episode/video with options to download the previous ones...

FWIW, the instructions are identical for Macs.

You shouldn't have to do any of that for Mac or PC. All you should have to do is click on "Subscribe to Podcast", and it should be automatic. Is that not happening? The one click subscribe should be working on all modern browsers (other than Opera).

Good to know. smile

So then, what I would recommend is, just click on the "SUBSCRIBE TO PODCAST" link, and if that doesn't work, follow the instructions above that others have contributed.

Are you guys encoding the videos using the built-in quicktime to iPod option? I've been testing the limits of the Video lately and it can push some high quality stuff. much better than the 320x240 standard.

It all works beautifully on the Mac but it didn't on the PC when i tried this afternoon (Windows XP SP2 using Internet Explorer 6) - i'll give it a try again in the morning using Firefox (maybe it's just our old PC) but clicking on the subscribe link did nothing in IE.

It all worked for me and I have the same setup. You might have to save it first then browse to it and open it with iTunes.

The dragging and dropping method is the fastest and easiest way to do it in my opinion. In a nutshell: no need to ice skate uphill.

With Sony's new media manager software, you can easily subscribe to and d/l podcasts to your PSP. For, you know, all 5 of us without an iPod.
