We would all have to move and physically relocate the business. It's not enough to just move the servers, unfortunately.

You're more than invited to move here biggrin

Woah this really sucks, I don't get what's the point of this law... I'm pretty sure the USA goverment has more important things to deal with right now than banning bondage porn between conselting adults whatever puke

How do you personally feel about this policy, put into place by the Bush adminstration?

Of course they have. But this, this issue we are talking about is squarely on George and his compatriots. You can sling shit at Tipper Gore all you want (well I guess that'd be illegal now); that's fine. If this were a liberal I'd be pissed. But the fact of the matter is that George is the one who has the Christian Right's hand down his pants making this shit happen.

Though thankfully the scapegoating retards haven't.

just remember you helped this happen if you voted for bush.

I wonder how many of our Kerry votes somehow became Bush votes during the most recent round?

surely you can't be implying that diebold didn't count the votes properly? [/snark]

Not hardly, I have full fiath in the presently designed electronic voting systems, and am without doubt that any chance of tampering was fixed before they were put into use.

The idea of implying fraud on the part on any particular administration/party is absurd.

That would never be let to happen in a democratic free election.

Yeah...............

Come on, Stock...justify this one.

Whith all of the problems our nation faces...adults with proper identification viewing otherwise legal photographs taken with the models' (who have also been properly identified as adults) consent is an area in which this administration feels compelled to act.

You, President Bush, are a fucking tool. You, your goons, everyone who works for you and everything you stand for can kiss my fucking ass. puke

Yes.

This is a more than a little bit silly move to make at present. Thusfar nobody's been busted for it yet.

The operative word is "yet". Someone will be a test case, and they will either pick on someone small but over-the-top, or they will pick on someone with a higher profile, like us. The fact that we have "suicide" in our name doesn't exactly help us, either.

While I'm completely confident that this will be overturned, I'd rather support the groups who can sue the government and stop anyone from having to go to court (or jail) in the first place. And we'll help that happen by spreading the word that this is wrong.

They'd actually have to look pretty far to find anything that'd qualify on this site.

Yes, and they will. There is a team of FBI agents whose jobs are now to scour the internet for "obscene" images.

how do I personally feel about it?

I love SG. that should be fucking obvious. the way people are acting, I am responsible for this.
no.
people in power will ALWAYS act to subvert the rights and codify their citizens.
what I voted for was a party of minimal government, not an overreaching one.
this is bullshit. that's how I fucking feel about this.

minimal government? Did you bother to inform yourself about the republican platform...that minimal government did a bang-up job of responding to such a HUGE disaster known as Katrina...we don't need less government, we need more intelligent government, more honest government. Government OF the people FOR the people...not "of business for big business".

I agree with dkmfc that liberals (as in Democrats) want to take just as many rights away. They are just a different set pertaining to their agenda.

That being said I totally disagree with him that voting for Bush did not give his voters a hand in this. After all that is what our whole political system is based on. You vote for a representative and they use that power to forward their agenda.

That being said I didn't vote for Bush OR Kerry. The only way to have any hope of fixing our political system is to vote your conscience. The only way any political party will stop over stepping their bounds is to stop trying to vote for the winner or the best nightmare of an administration.

I am in 100% agreement with this statement. Especially the last paragraph.

I think you voted for a party that used to stand for minimal government. The Patriot Act, however, is not minimal government. Conversely...a government that forced a pay-site with age-verifiable members viewing consensual photographs of age-verifiable models sounds pretty fucking overreaching to me.

it's reagan.

and yes. I learned that america is a flawed, but wonderful place.

[Edited on Sep 25, 2005 by dkmfc]

I can spell, I'm just a little scattered at the moment.

But seriously, does this come as a suprise to you?

The morality thing was pushed by Reagan in the 80's, Gingrich in the 90's and Bush in the 00's. I acknowledge just you probably don't agree with all Republican policies but isn't the shift from a pro business and security driven Republican party in the 70's to a party which is increasingly pushing morality and "family" issues a concern for you?
