intersting idea... probably the only main concern is storage ... location... bandwidth... i'm not sure how many of us are able to make mp3s... and host them.

but a interesting idea none the less.

Meh. I wouldn't use it. I can imagine some people would, but then, some people would love to have annoying comment signatures and animated avatars as standard features. Also, I would get really pissed off if I clicked my "Bookmarks" link to read through my friends' journals and it was just a list of "Audio entry...Audio entry...Audio entry...Audio entry" summaries.

Add audio hosted elsewhere to your journal if you want. It's cool that SG is flexible enough to allow you to do that. But making it a standard feature would, I think, be more of a negative thing than a positive thing.

Which brings me to another point:

Can you imagine the amount of "OMG HOW TO BE MAKING MP3!!!!????" support e-mails the staff would get about this? Having something in the FAQ about it wouldn't help, and they'd end up having to either help a zillion people who don't know how to create mp3s figure it out, or explain over and over and over again that they can't help.
