I really dont think noobs are the problem, I think the general climate of infantile behavior and stupid posting is the real problem. Most threads, even if they start out good just always degenerate into childish banter, people endlessly quoting each others inane comments for page upon page of wasted time.

Often I read the threads on the boards and it seems to me like a room full of people fighting over a peanut. Yeah, I know winning is important, seeming smart is important, but really most of the topics have the same worth as that little nut, and its not really worth gettin too excited about it.

Then there are suck ups, dumb semantic arguments and then plain old uncreative people that make the boards the least enjoyable part of this site, at least to me.

And dont get me started on the endless barrage of cat photos.

I'm shocked this jerk didn't get more flack for the use of the word Paki. Personally I think it's akin to saying beaner or... God forbid... the "N" word.

And the funny thing is he never even realized he was saying something offensive. I get that all the time when people make Native American references which I find completely horrifying. Everyone assumes that either we don't care, there aren't enough to matter, or that somehow it's not real racism to say those things.

But it comes down to this. Complete and utter disrespect and that is in poor, poor taste my friend.

I'm a jerk by page 3. Hooray! In case anyone didn't know, I was ignorant to my mistake. My friend Rahul uses the word casually and I thought it was just a convenient abbreviation. I'm apologizing because I'm embarrassed about my ignorance, but still think a couple of you (the emailers in particular) should think about the post and see if what you called me and what I was trying to express jive.
