I've never even heard the word chuck before, except you know, in "up-chuck" or "wood-chuck" Anyone want to give me a real definition? It's hard being Canadian here... How do vans and cons and chucks relate here people?

arik's right - they're sometimes more expensive than normal trainers. You know, anything with a 'label' in the UK is deliberately expensive.

i used to have a pair of electric blue hightops... they were the raddest pair of shoes EVER and my mom fucking threw them away when i went to university 
along with my black chucks, and my forest green hightops too.
she likes to get rid of clutter and she figured that since i left them behind i didn't want them. argh... i get so pissed when i think of it. i just have navy lowtops now. i'm looking to buy a red pair and a pink pair.
sigh.

I used to be able to order them from a site from the u.s., and it was super cheap, like 15 bucks for a pair! But now they don't ship to the states. They're like 50 bucks here!
