The Nudists group was probably declined because there used to be one and it got deleted for inactivity. It had at most 7 members and very little conversation.
I think I may have been the one who deleted it back when I was a moderator.

Ahhhh, ok. Thank you very much for the response. I can accept that, I guess the three people I asked, "Do you think a nudist group would be a good idea?" does not constitute enough interest to create a new group.
I would definitely like to see a group like this be a reality in the future, with hopefully more members and interest. You have given me something to build from, thank you.

I've found no duplicate group by searching--why then was my application to form an Occupy group declined?
Because the Occupy movement doesn't seem to generate enough content to warrant a group and the threads (which there is no evidence you have ever commented in) are sufficient.
Those groups are 8 and 6 years old, respectively. A lot has changed over the years. I doubt either one would be approved these days.
Additionally, if you've read this thread, you'll see that the existence of a group on one subject matter does not automatically justify the opposite of that.
lil_tuffy... Hey, man... I had a group turn down but I had two request. I thought the one that got turned down may get the axe but I didn't even get a response on this bad boy here.

Probably because there's already an SGFL, SGNJ, SGSC, SG Carolina, SGVA, etc etc.
right ... many private groups. It makes it impossible for people up and down the coast to talk together. That's actually the point of the group. When asked why, I said that we all travel up and down the east coast & it would be cool for people on the east coast to know about functions & discussions that involve all of us. If I knew about something cool going on in SC or NY, maybe I'd go... ya know?Plus, I'd prefer it be open to all. Maybe We could even plan a meet up or something. I don't feel this is a frivolous idea. It makes as much sense as any regional group on the site. East coasters know. I travel up & down the coast plenty. For instance, I'm going to NY and I want to meet up with people, I have to join every group along the coast? Lol.. I think I made the point.
For that matter, there are a couple of private southern groups for the southern states.
