I'm starting to think that I actually have some sort of fetish for both socks and patterns in combination. The patterned socks are really hot, but the solid-colored ones go from somewhat hot to really hot for me when paired with a patterned skirt. Damn! I don't know what the hell's going on: I never went to Catholic school.

I sometimes feel that striped knee-or-thigh-high socks (especially of the black & white variety) go in the "overdone" category. That's not to say I don't love them - heck, I have a few pairs myself - but it seems that everyone has them.
But I do enjoy looking at socks. It's very sexy when the knee down is covered, but the rest of the body is nude.
...and now I sound like a weirdo.

I myself feel that way about those black and white socks (actually all of the typical colour combinations combined with black, like red and yellow). That's why I've only ever owned one pair of red and black striped socks and they are thigh highs.
But for sets I think it's very important to match them well to the setting, and doable still even though they have been done so much.
