If you haven't seen Benni's rejected set you don't know what you are missing. Honestly I am tempted not to share, but it would just be wrong,

Does anyone know why this set was rejected? Coz I thought it was awesome and perfect...and I don't usually say that about rejected sets, coz I can usually see why they've been rejected...

Dear Benni,

Per the request of my heart doctor, please refrain from posting any more pictures of yourself on the internet.

Thank you in advance

you know... being an artist myself i think these pictures are really tops. i think snottlebocket might be right.... i think they probably rejected them because the photography was too edgy. but in my mind thats absolutly ridiculious. the artist has obviously taken time and come up with a kick ass set, Benni is amazingly beautiful, and her body is obviously the focus of the camera.

i dont normally critique the site too too much, but in my reality sg needs to mature a little photography wise. beautiful girls, edgy photography... now that would be heaven. in my opnion benni's is one of, if not the classiest sets ive seen on here in a long time. because not only does it feature a beautiful girl, but the photography is masterfully done in a way that deserves its own attention and enhances benni's presense in each composition.

seriously sg, time to reevaluate.

i totally agree.
that set should not be rejected.
i thought art was about pushing the limits.
and i always saw suicide girls more about art and less about blatant porn.
that set was gorgeous.

This is all assuming that that's the reason it was rejected though, Sarita. There could have been other reasons!

It's a lovely set though, and Benni is a lovely lovely girl.

I'm going to be perfectly candid here: Benni is absolutely beautiful. No argument there. love And her first photoset is solidly entrenched in my favorites. Hawt.

However, while some of the shots are splendid, it doesn't really work as a set. Many of the pictures are out of focus and poorly lit. This makes for some really interesting art pieces, but imho a set should showcase the girl a bit more, rather than the photographer. The blurriness doesn't really aid its impact as a complete "set."

edited to say: lord knows i've had some sets rejected, so it's not like i'm coming from a different place. ;P Not intended to be harsh words in any way, shape or form.

I know what the reasons are that it was rejected, but considering how many sets are submitted, and people that actually work on SG, I'm not suprised more sets get rejected. There are a couple of reasons that I actually find to have rejected the set, but they are ones that could be easily fixed or certain pictures that could simply have been omitted (though I would be loathe to state which ones as Benni would kick my ass). If you really want to know all the reasons ask SG.. if they feel like explaining themselves they may tell us. Personally I think Sarita may be right about the edgy photography.. SG probably has standards to live up to and they aren't willing to take that leap and break new ground.

Benni's set is amazing. The photographer did a great job. From what I know there weren't enough pictures of Benni's face... which I understand. Regardless, the set needs to be appreciated because it's the best one I've seen, ever, in my opinion. biggrin

Both Sabine and Benni's rejected sets are amazing. When i read these comments, I at first thought everyone was just overhyping it but I don't think you can give enough praise for the two sets.

I'm really curious to know exactly why these two sets were rejected now. You guys came up with a lot of good speculations, but I doubt SG will ever give the real reasons why though.

Yes, this was one of the reasons Benni's set was rejected that I know about. I don't know all the reasons, just a couple, and this is SG's site afterall and they may have differing viewpoints. I'm curious though.. there is that thread about posting your 3 favorite pics of 3 different girls to get a year of SG, do they have to be from accepted sets...? If not, once I figure out how to post it, I'll be using one of Benni's rejected pics.

Radio- Thank you for the insight about Sabine's rejected set, it did look nice.

I have heard that in general they don't comment on why sets are rejected. It might be interesting to look at some of the sets that have been rejected and see if there are any common elements. Maybe someone interested in or experienced with the visual arts might want to do this?

I know of only 2 rejected sets at the present (see above comment on Sabine). I saw no similarities between hers and Benni's. The moods, poses, lighting, color vs. b&w, are all different in my mind. There's too many SG's now to look through them all, so if anyone knows of other rejected sets, specifically ones that may compare, please let me know and I'll peruse them. Actually, one of Claudia's 2002 sets reminded me of Sabine's. So I don't know why Sabine's was rejected, unless SG would now reject Claudia's (but they already accepted it and won't change their minds on earlier sets) for similar reasons. This of course assumes that their reasoning for acceptance has changed over the years.
