I tried Firefox and it didn't really do it for me. Yeah ... still happily using IE.

Sorry, kids!

Same here. Got Norton to battle the pop-ups, too smile

IE and Norton... that makes me cry a little on the inside.

No Thanks... I get it, people like firefox... it's also painfully slow rendering pages, and you can use the Maxthon browser with much more features.

Nobody needs to be converted... but if they like it, more power to 'em.

I just started using Firefox yesterday, so far me likey. I really like having the extensions and I think it just looks better than IE. I never had the problem of pop-ups after I got Norton, I love my Norton. I really think the main thing I like about Firefox, other then the extensions and being able to resize the text with Ctrl+mouse scroll, is the tabs and not having the taskbar filled with crap.

you know, i was looking around the internet and happened across a website that did a good job in pissing me off, here's a screenshot of the unorginal unfunny discriminatory message this firefox user leaves for those visitors running IE (or a browser based on the IE shell). not cool dude, not cool. ARRR!!!

Tabs are the single best feature of Firefox, in my opinion. Gone are the days of having 6 instances of IE open to view multiple pages.

Heck, I even have it set up so that when I simply start the browser up, my FIVE homepages all load at the same time on individual tabs. Naturally, SG is on one of them. smile

Maybe not, but understandable given MS' appalling lack of user-friendly, or secure products-not to mention arrogant marketing practices.

I have always liked and used Netscape, or Mozilla, Firefox is ok, shaky, but it'll get better, by virtue of the open source community. I use IE occasionally , but after spending 3 days recently undoing the damage from a web-browser hijack on a friend's computer, I'm glad MS has finally gotten the message.
Download their new [free] MS Anti-spyware-works well. [windows 2000 and up].

Ad-Aware, Spybot, McAfee Personal Firewall, McAfee AV-wow, it sure is fun surfing. Yeah, yeah, get a MAC, or use Linux.

actually that is pretty funny. the author's only error is that they didn't make their site work cross-browser. mocking IE is fine by me, but it's bad business to shut out that large of a market segment.

I thought it was pretty funny as well. ABC News recently switched to XHTML/CSS, and has a very interesting screen for users who try to sign on with Netscape 4 and other browsers that lack support for web standards.

Users of IE 6 often have problems logging in to SG and it makes me sad. However, if you switch to Firefox you'll never have that problem again.

Firefox is the greatest invention known to man since the printing press.
Well not really but it does rock the veritable socks off of IE. say no to DSO exploits, yes to open-source yummy caramel goodness.

I have IE 6.01 SP2, works fine. My preference is NN 7.02, w/latest JAVA; FF 1.0,
is still new to me, w/ add-ons and such that it uses- PLEASE don't be sad,
winter does enough of that to us.
