So what is it like to be bi? I hear many bi girls tell me that lesbians are jerks to them. Is this true? Well, this big freakin' lesbo supports you all the way. In fact, I want to be an honorary bi girl, as most bi girls I meet are more attractive/nice/funny than lesbians, and I will probably lose my lifetime membership to the dyke sisterhood for that one. I mean, I know more lesbians than bi girls, but they tend to be jerky or not funny.

So spill. As someone who gets a severe allergic reaction when boys touch me, I want to know your thoughts on the subject!

I would assume it is a lot like being straight or gay, but you get a whole lot of perks, like people assuming you're a slut, or like threesomes, or want everyone all the time, or not being accepted by the straight or gay community...

At far as I can tell, the only bi girls that are openly accepted by society are the ones that engage in threesomes or are big sluts... I'm probably wrong about it, but that's how it seems to me.

But like, it's fine. I mean, that's how I live my life, right?

That sux dude. As a lesbian you get the whole "threesome stereotype" too. I always get guys saying "Hey, will you make out with my girlfriend and can I watch/join?" Blah! Damn the patriarchy.

I'm bi in the way that I'm pretty much lesbian except for my permanent male companion. he's the only male I'll ever want, though. It's complicated to me because guys are so easy, I've found, in comparison with girls. But girls are so intense! And gorgeous! They are so intimidating to me sometimes, all the more alluring. Plus there is always the chance one party will get jealous, but I guess that's getting into polyamourism. Not many people know I'm bi outside this happy communtity, because it doesn't come up in normal conversation. Therefor, I haven't been hit with any weird stereotypes.

On the sex side, I don't think I could do a threesome, unless my man and girl were completely cool with eachother, and even then it would be awkward. I'm different with a man than with a woman. I can't pinpoint it, but I just know I feel differently.

i'll admit i grew up with some predjudices against bi/gay/lesbians and im still not quite over them. one of them being bisexuals that are dating someone of the opposite sex in a monogamous relationship, then cheat on them for someone of the same sex, then claim its not cheating if its the same sex? unfortunately i have run into a lot of bisexuals ike this. but sometimes you have one of those life-changing meetings, and i had one of those when i met my 20 year old virgin by choice (in ALL sense of the word... no oral, penetration, anal, ANY kind of sex) bisexual friend. she was actually one of the most conservative people i met. she doesnt even date girls anymore because she wants to get married and have a family in a nice conservative monogamous relationship. kind of makes you realize how stupid it is to generalize people.

I'm openly bi. I think that mean lesbos are that way cause they probably figured that theyre not gonna get any from guys cause they are mean. It's intimidating, most lesbos as they seem to me they have sheer hatred to me for liking dick! Like that's an issue. shocked

well, I enjoy loving all sorts of types of people. I grew up in a family where they had to be only one way, well, that type of person doesn't exist so I put down those horrid nightmares and except my reality which is I like everything and will not keep myself from taste testing the earth.

why stop yourself from fantasizing-licking-fucking-liking-loving 50% of the world just because of what is in their pants? i could never set a limit like that. there are far too many beautiful people in the world to single out an entire gender. smile

but to truly straight people, there is no desire to, so there is no "stopping" oneself. i could ask why people dont play guitar, or play nintendo, or design websites, or listen to punk rock, or any of the things i enjoy, but i dont assume they're missing out on anything if they have other preferences.

anyway, i only need 1 girl, and theres like 5 billion to choose from, so its not THAT limiting...

i am not trying to push anything, i am just voicing my opinion. i know that some people are straight/gay/bi and they are perfectly happy. sheeesh. i just thought i would say how i feel without starting an arguement. ahhhhhhh.......i am going to crawl into bed ALONE.
by the way.....i happen to be in a relationship with a boy and we have been in this relationship for 7 years. so i think its great that some people can find ONE person and that is that. JUST MY OPINION! Not trying to PUSH! i swear love

i wasnt trying to start a fight either, SHEESH. ive just heard that a lot from bi-sexuals... once i even had a girl telling me i was "close-minded" for being straight (though she didnt believe i was straight anyway, since she didnt believe straight existed...) somehow its considered more open-minded to e bi-sexual. here is my take on it... it's more open-minded to be bi-sexual than to be straight, desire bi-sexual, but shut that part of you off for one reason or another. but if that part of you doesn't exist, it doesn't exist. some people know what they want, and go out and get it.

i do think it is better to be open minded and accept everybodies choices. its far better than being close minded and puting people down for their preferences. Sorry if i offended you!

Well, just kind of look at it this way, if I said that all a lesbian needed was to get some serious dicking, and she'd change her mind, people would (rightly so) think I was an idiot. So why should it be ok for people to think that all a straight man needs a serious ass pounding and he'll change his mind as well?
People have their preferences for what they're attracted to it's kind of pointless to argue that so-and-so is really attracted to men or women and just in denial. You can't really say who is in denial and who isn't.
But if you're happy with the one you're with, of whatever gender, be grateful, it's a lot more than most people get.

no offense taken at all! it just seemed like you were trying to say that everyone should NOT set limits. which i agree with, to a point, except that i never saw it as setting a limit. i know what makes me hot, and i know what turns me off.

it's funny that you said that, because that's been in the back of my mind since reading through the 'gay? bi? straight?' thread.
but it's understandable that so many bisexual girls have boyfriends, because it's so much easier and more likely to meet someone of the opposite sex who you connect with. the odds are much better. i'm not sure if i had a point; i'm tired.

Aw Echo! That wasn't a nice thing to say...I'm not an angry dyke, and I dated lots of guys before I learned I was gay, so it's not like dykes are mean 'cause they can't get men...maybe they're just mean 'cause they're jaded. Women break your heart a lot worse than men do.

Mmm, i'm not sure I like the end of this statement. You're supporting how good of a person your bi friend is by saying, "she doesn't even date girls anymore because she wants to get married and have a family" like it's the "Normal" and "Right" thing to do. I don't think wanting to get married to a man and have his babies makes any kind of moral statement. You say "she doesn't even date girls anymore" like she gave up a bad habit.

actually, it's nice to see that at least on the surface you're not a militant man hater. Most of my exposure to the lesbian population results in me feeling their burning hatred for my penis.

I think you're a fine representative of the lesbian popultation.

at least we have one thing in common. NIETHER of us wants a penis anywhere near us.
