ok so... new guy joins with the valentine´s special of $29 for a WHOLE year and immediately starts complaining about no zip downloads and false advertisement?

if you want 20MP full size photos to "enjoy the technical aspects" (in other words, to jerk off) of photography then you are clearly in the wrong place.

Here are my thoughts about this:

- You can save the pictures on your PC. You just have to save them one at a time.

- You didn't get scammed. Nowhere in the free tour or anywhere else does it say that the site has high-res photos. If you thought they would be high-res, I can see where you might feel disappointed, but I'd say enjoy the photos for what they are. As far as alt pinup photography, there's a ton of great photo sets. By the way, some members actually prefer the more raw and "Do It Yourself" look of some of the oldest photo sets, and those are lower resolution than the ones being posted now.

- I usually use the Flash viewer to look at the photo sets, so that I don't have to scroll to see the whole image, but for you I'd definitely suggest the HTML viewer, because it doesn't resize the photos.

- Some people join SG just to look at the pictures, and that's fine, but there's a lot more going on here, with the groups, the boards, chat, and the other content. If you keep looking around you'll probably find some things that you like. Personally I think $4 a month -- less than that in your case I believe -- is a great deal just for the photos, but it's the other features that keep a lot of the members renewing their accounts.

my site suggestion: after someone has paid and hit "join", there should be a window that pops up that says "THERE IS NO OPTION FOR DOWNLOADING ZIP FILES AND THERE NEVER WILL BE SO PLEASE DON'T ASK", and then the person should have to click a button that says "i understand" for the window to go away, but then another window should pop up saying, "no really, we're not going to make it easy for you to download sets", and then a corresponding "okay okay i know, i won't ask" button.

but after they pay, of course.

oh, and there should be an auto disable when someone wants to start a thread that has the words "zip file" in it.

Seriously.. (-_-) Heh why do you think they often waste space on many forms, mostly from the governement, to say in little characters (Masculine only was used in this text to shorten the lenght and therefor isn't meant to discriminate women), enough said.

@ Capote: It's known that often on site tour the content is of lower quality or somewhat restricted so it doesn't always tell what's really gonna be inside and it sure wouldn't tell that it's impossible to download the whole content of a gallery in 1 click because..

@ Mingol: Yes jesus christ it takes forever to do 3 click per picture you wana save when you got 40-80+. I have other things to do than waste time because a feature isn't there. It's like saying (Is it too hard jesus christ to get to work with ur bike?!) even if the guy's working 40Km away, as if he'd do that each morning and twice a day no matter what's the weather. Same thing applies here.

@ Cudnovati: Stop trying to find excuses, what can it change that I paid a special price (are you jealous?!), that I'm rich, poor, here since long ago, brand new, queen of england or whoever else.. I still have the right to give my personnal opinion so gfy if you're not happy about it. Thanks to let us know that you jerk off on 20MP pictures, I actualy never jerked off to any SG pictures yet as it's more about art and photography imo. At least on websites like Met-Art they allow high-res files though girls don't have tattoos over there.

@ SilverSurfer: Thanks buddy for letting me know about the HTML over Flash. It's clearly better, however I noticed by saving the pictures that they're still the same resolution so in fact they aren't of higher-res "better quality" when being viewed through html on the website, they're only zoomed-in which gives the false impression of higher-res

Pathetic.

Here's another point about the site. The staff can make your account "forced anonymous" whenever they want to. If they do that you can still look at the pictures, but you can't post anywhere. And they don't have to give you a refund, you actually paid to look at the pictures. It's in the Terms Of Service. Just thought you'd find that interesting.

You just missed the entire point of having a site tour. You're acting like a child.

If only I had a nickel for every time I've wanted to zoom in on an eyeball or a bit of background! It's that kind of esoterica that really gets my engine running!

Something that's long struck me as hard to understand about SG is the limits on favorite pictures. If you've been on the site for a few years, chances are your favorites have long been full up--so you can no longer keep track of photos you particularly liked, nor can you use the favorite button as a quick way to compliment a special shot. It seems particularly odd in the age of Facebook, where it almost seems like you have a right to "like." Sure, you can delete old favorites to make room...but who wants to do that? It's as if you had to throw away a few pages from your photo albums every time you developed a roll of film.
