Furthermore, the weirdest part about SG is how everyone always feels entitled, like SG owes them a slot as a suicide girl just because they happen to identify with something that someone at some point may have said about SG and what it's "supposed" to be or was "back in the day". (Usually without shooting a (good) set. Why is it that only girls who never shoot (good) sets complain about this?)

Just making sure people see this bit.
You and your goddamn fascination with seeing "bits".
My dad was transgender. My parents divorced when (s)he decided to to come out with it. (S)he had known who he was since (s)he was very young but society didn't except such thoughts. The divorce over such an issue was very difficult and heart-braking for my whole family. I was ten at the time and the situation left me very confused. Could this happen to me? The whole situation could have been avoided if society was more accepting and didn't make him/her ashamed of who (s)he was.
(Note: I say him/her and (s)he because I will always see him as my dad, the war hero but she didn't ever see herself as the same masculine person I knew and who she pretended to be.
Can I just bump this after discovering a tragic public "outting" of a transgendered hopeful (who is absolutely beautiful, might I add)?
I don't want her to think SG is full of close minded individuals who won't accept her, because it's not. I'm not going to name names, but I'd love for her to know she's not alone in her pursuit and that it doesn't matter to a lot of us that she was born in the wrong body.
If your pictures are pretty, you deserve the same chance as the other ladies!

Well said. I don't know the hopeful you're referring to, and I have no intention of finding out, but I will say that whomever she is she is welcome here. And that anybody who thinks otherwise is not.

I hope she continues to feel welcomed here.
On a related note it should be repeated that outing someone that does not want to be outed is an incredibly dickbag move. Also it can be dangerous for the person that was outed.

In an interesting coincidence, the webcomic Questionable Content, starting this week, has one of its characters coming out as transgender.
Did any of the UK members posting in this thread see that show about the transgender Miss England hopeful last night? It's well worth watching if you can find it, she was truly inspirational.
I'd like to think that most people on here are open minded and know better than to try and apply rules or regulations that may effect or or be in conflict of other peoples sexual identity.
One of the main reasons why I joined SG is because I felt that the people on here were probably brave and intelligent enough to be able to accept the fact that gender identity, sexuality and orientation are not something that should be regulated by a group of people. (There's also the fact that I get to stare at boobs in my spare time)
It take a very sad and ignorant individual to feel that his/her own opinion should be the leading consensus on the website (infact looking back on the last sentence, it sounds like and oxymoron)
