I'm using the iPhone4, I think this is pretty good to be honest! If I had to make a suggestion I would say make this a downloadable app where we can update our blogs, not just comment. Maybe even add an option to take a picture and upload (maybe that's already an option and I missed it?)
Once you have that out, if someone comes to the site through a web browser have the "there's an app for this" message come up so the person can download if they want and then just the regular site opens up in the web browser.
Hope this is a big priority! I think if you had an app in the store you might even get more membership (just a thought). I would love to read a general update on how this is going and what challenges you're running into in the process.
I found a significant privacy-related bug in the mobile site. Not sure how I should report it, since it means giving lots of people the ability to exploit the bug if I just announce it here on a public forum...
Testing done on a Motorola Milestone (non-USA Droid), running Android 2.2.1. Tested with the defaults browser, Opera Mobile (11) and Opera Mini (6).
* Default browser:
Mobile - Unable to login. Unable to click on the username and password fields. The mobile menu seems to be ok.
Full site - Works fine
* Opera Mobile:
Mobile - Login ok. The mobile menu doesn't show correctly. Only 4 out of the 6 icons show up.
Full site - Works perfectly. Best option to access SG right now
* Opera Mini:
Mobile - Login ok. The mobile menu doesn't show correctly. Unable to navigate.
Full site - Mostly works. The like directly above sets (where you can click on "HTML galery", "Flash galery" etc) doesn't show.
Tests with both Opera versions included access attempts using Socket (Turbo) mode and direct HTTP access. Same results for both cases.
Tests done with Wifi access and cel access (3G/EDGE/GPRS). Same results.
Flash 10.2.157.51 (latest version) installed on the phone.
So, for now, I'm using Opera Mobile 11 accessing the full site.
I have a hell of a hard time logging in to the mobile site on my iPhone. It lets me enter my user name and password. Then when I try to click "Log In" the little box with user name/password/login button darts away from my finger on the screen. Every time I try to press "Log In" it moves away. It's ridiculously difficult.
Tried on an Android device (Motorola CLIQ with a custom Android 2.1 image). Didn't play with much other than pic sets.
When I try to click on a picture set, I get a small slice of what appears to be the image at full-size (cropped to a tiny viewing space), so that all I got was a bit of the drapes (not a euphemism). Accompanying this useless image are a series of buttons for back, play, forward, none of which do the slightest thing when touched. :\
Meanwhile the full site apparently refuses my normal username/password combo when I try to login (to the full site) from my Android phone, as well.
It's okay, since I doubt I'd really spend much time on the site from my phone... but please have it fixed before I get my Kindle Fire!
iPhone 4 here and I think the mobile site is well done but it's a little slow and it would be nice to do a few more things like load pix cause their are a few people like me that rarely get on a real computer an app would be nice speaking of apps the SG seduce app is great and Zoli is amazing but it's time to add a few more of these real world models
I want to request a way to Hotlink to a profile from a
Gallery set. Right now you have to memorize the name, go to profiles, search for girl using name. This does not always work. A simple link to profile would be
Much easier
Hi, everyone. It looks like most of my comments have already been stated by someone else, but just to add to the deluge for SG as they redo their mobile site:
* The auto-play function in the mobile site is *way* too fast. It's annoying. Looking at one lovely SG picture for two seconds before the next one comes up sucks. Could you slow it down? By a lot? Better yet, could you give the user control over how long the slideshow will take? And what about saving the lovely pics to our lovely phones? Could you allow that?
* Obviously, the mobile site doesn't format well for iPad. Not even slightly.
* Less obviously, there are *some* security issues. I can get around those tunneling, blah, blah, blah, but for those who are concerned about such, it'd be a good idea to find and patch those. Ta!
