So did you guys like the mini-movie I shot with the Stray Bullet set? Is this something you would like to see more of?

Yes and yes. As great as it is to see videos of SGs dancing around in their scanties, it's nice to have something as unique and interesting as Stray Bullet from time to time.

How many people had trouble with the violence in the set?

It just seems to be the next logical step. Half the time there are so many duplicate images in the sets that they might as well be video anyway.

Personally, I had no problems with it whatsoever. I'm not the biggest fan of mindless violence for the sake of it, but it was a story-driven set and every photo just enhanced that fact.

It's funny to me the people who are bummed because I killed the hero. What if you saw her as the villain....haha

To me I asked myself what would happen if in Kill Bill we followed around Elle Driver? Sure we would be into her, and along for her ride, but she was definitely the villain in that film. But then again, maybe I'm just fucking with ya. haha

People make the assumption that the lead character of a film is likely to be the hero. I think this is because by making one character the focus, you are giving the audience greater insight into that one character's psyche, and the justifications for their actions. Indeed, many people/characters who could be cast as villains would probably not describe themselves as such, but rather as being Machiavellian. For the most part, they have some justification for their actions, and audiences can relate to that because at some point, every person has done something they know is not the right thing or the good thing, but they have ultimately gone ahead and justified their actions to themselves.

I think that it's just grown into a mentality that lead characters are ultimately redeemable, even if you know very little about them. If you'd made Elle Driver the main character in Kill Bill, people would probably have a lot more sympathy for her and her actions.

Holy crap, that video was awesome. So glad I opened this thread, otherwise I never would have seen it!

And I definitely saw her as the villain from the beginning. I was still bummed when she got shot though, haha.

I loved it. It showed another facet of creativity, plus we got to hear the SG's voice (even minorly) so that was a plus.

One of my favorite things when I joined the site four years ago was the videos that girls put out to go along with thier sets. Getting to see the girls in action and talk about their set was pretty damn awesome. I know I can't be the only person that remembers the videos that would be featured every Friday like they were a Set of the Day.
Anywho, Stray Bullet was a nice reminder of that and I wish SG would bring it back.

+1 with Dryad and Rizzo on hearing the girls voice. i remember when we had videos on the front page. I loved it.

The girls had a chance to explain the set, why they did SG and were able to extend the set. I remember i think Temper did a video extending her set once..
