Exactly.....sets don't just disappear after they are bought (except for a very few cases).

Yep. I've known quite a few girls that say they are SGs to look cool. Turns out most of the time they aren't even members of the site, much less a Hopeful or SG. It's always quite funny to see their faces when I say, "Oh what's your SG name I'm a member on there." There's usually stuttering follwed by "Oh I don't model for them anymore b/c they photoshop pictures too much" Haha, Riiiiight.

I've seen a few blogs or comments on other sites where girls talk about how they are SGs, and they just submitted their first set, and they can't wait to find out if it was accepted. Um, that means you aren't an SG... I think some girls think that because they got through the initial screening process, that means they're totally suicide girls.
edit: Although, I don't think the hopeful status existed in 2006-2007. When did second chance sunday start? I joined in 2007, and I think it was still fairly new.

Hopefuls has been around since sets have been rejected. This group has been around for a long long time. Member review has only been around since 2007. That little tag next to "hopefuls" names is the only thing that changed. Sets were still put in here for critique and girls were called hopefuls long before there was ever a second chance to get your set purchased.
