How long is an account visible?

Someone sent me a 3 month membership. I let my account lapse 5 years ago, and my life's changed considerably since then.

Would my account on SG have still been visible in some fashion after that long?

I probably shouldn't worry about it, but I'm trying to figure out if someone bought it who had my old email address -- which would be odd, but wouldn't bother me, or if someone decided it was worth paying money to an account that hadn't been active in years...

From what I have read SG reactivated a lot of accounts that were lapsed as a promotion

unless you go anon or ask for your info to be removed, your info and blogs, pics, etc will be visible indefinitely

It appears to be a promotion they do occasionally. I'm in the same boat as you pretty much. It's fine and dandy to get 3 free months but they really didn't need to be so coy about it and tell me it was one of my non-existent friends that invited me back. Anyway, AMUSE ME SG AND I WILL GIVE YOU MY MONEY.
