And there are plenty of threads discussing the basic standards that determine how sets get chosen out of member review. For instance, How are sets chosen from Member Review to become Set of the Day.

something that wasnt mentioned though that i think is a huge factor is creativity and originality of the set that was shot, I mean to be brutally honest bedroom sets seem to be the most overdone theme so when a hopeful does an original set like

Amarena's street corner girl

or
something like JessyJames red white and crue

I feel in my very unprofessional opinion that this is a definitive factor that separates hopefuls who have the most chance of turning pink from the rest of the hopeful herd.

Those are overdone because that's what staff buys. They don't buy creative sets.

Saying a hopeful's set has the same number of frames as sets on the front page is like saying I have the same number of toes as Buzz Aldrin so I should be able to walk on the moon.

Ok, new guy. Look at what gets bought and look at what sits in MR. Unless you're a well established SG, your creative sets don't get bought.

Alright I get it now, the bedroom sets are the constant factor in determining the individual style of each model in their initial sets which is why creativity isnt a factor in their first set.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

but that rule is still a croc a shit.

Just for the record, the "rule" (which is actually just a guideline in the hopefuls FAQ) is that a girl's first set should show her the way she is naturally/normally, without an elaborate theme or a ton of makeup. There is no hard and fast rule that an SG's first set has to be a bedroom set or boring in any way. In fact, if a set is boring to most people who look at it, it probably won't get bought.

oh my bad, I got a little confused and thought that the only sets that get bought were the bedroom ones and i just like how some of the models go outside the bedroom for a more natural look/feel like Asio in her latest set where it looks like she lays a rug/blanket in front of a huge window in what i think is her living room while she plays zelda and gets

while using primarily the natural lighting plus the b-roll she gets from NOT being in her bedroom as you can see in the top 2 frames. Plus who says it has to be elaborate, like doing a set with a classic car as the backdrop, its only a small move to the garage, plus a gorgeous beautiful girl on top of a beautifully gorgeous piece of machinery, well thats a beautiful thing.

Ok, I have a much better understanding of how the site works now, that being said why is hopeful Kelpie_ still a hopeful, her set Fan Service
zoom image
has over 2600 comments and is at 98%. I mean Kemper's set that just went FP was at the same percentage but had half the comments, so why hasnt Kelpie_ had her first set bought yet?

Sg cant buy them all and staff does not look solely at numbers. A discussion on every girl and the WHY not pink!!!Omg!! OR why havent you bought a set from heeeeer is just pointless. I doubt staff has the time to answer everyone WHY they haven had a set bought.

This is what Rigel wrote in the Hopeful group:

How do you choose sets to go up as Set of the Day?

Here is the criteria we use:

Ratio of Loved It to Not For Me
Ratio of # comments to time in member review
Diversity of commenters
Quality and length of comments
Feedback from the SG Photographers
Model activity on the site (blogs, comments, groups, etc.)

We don't just pick the sets with the highest number of comments, although often the sets with the highest number of comments are chosen because a high comment count often goes hand in hand with doing well in other criteria. Any set in member review is eligible to be the Set of the Day, just because your set does not go up on the front page right away does not mean that you should lose all hope, we have been known to buy sets that have been in member review for several months to a year.

This isnt a discussion on every girl, just one. And I guess You sorta of answered my question, its just that I thought those two numbers were the biggest determination of who turns pink and ive never seen a hopeful with numbers that high who hasnt turned pink, I just thought it was worth pointing out. I will now go sit back in the corner and put the dunce hat back on.

I get what you are trying to say, which is a rhetorical "Why wasn't this girl chosen? She's awesome!" That's the point of this thread. But by continuing on the path of a specific discussion of one girl, you are inviting critique on a set where the model might not want appreciate. I could give my opinions on why I personally think the set hasn't been bought, but I'm not going to here, because it's rude to invite that kind of commentary on a set without permission.

In the end SG buys what they want. Many high comment and high percentage sets never get bought.

First of all, Thank You so much youre incredibly sweet!
Second, Fringe's set has 3500 I think? And is gorgeous and quite interesting for a bedroom set!
Third: it is honestly easy for me to see in my sets where my posing, look, and presentation could improve.blush..I like to delusionally, perhaps, think that the staff sees ehat I could be and that I am making strides in my modeling. I know that I can do better, maybe they see that too?

Seriously normal guys, girls, friends, wankers, creepers, obsessive fans etc. You are not helping the girl you are championing, you are doing the opposite and annoying people on her behalf.

You should all also read the thread before posting in it.

She is not. Again, Limbo means: She has been made a SuicideGirl but her set has not been on the FP yet since the sets are queued a couple of weeks in advance.

Asio this thread isn't about limbo girls its about girls who have been hopfeuls for a long time and people think should be pink.
The thread title is just quite misleading because of the words they chose.

Oh, how silly of me to think "hopeful limbo" meant what it appears to mean. In any event, Arien deserves to be an SG.
