Any body play music when they shoot? If so what kind of music do you play? I have a photo shoot coming up and I wanted to know if anyone had used music in the past to set the mood or what not. Models feel free to throw in your thoughts as well I would love to hear what everyone thinks! Thanx in advance.

I took my laptop once and just put my itunes on shuffle.
I did a non SG related shoot a few days ago and we listened to Lil Wayne.
I definitely think music helps ease any sort of tension and helps you relax and get in the mood.
If you know what the model likes or tell her to bring something.
I always try to listen to music...slow, sexy stuff like Massive Attack, Portishead, and the first Sneaker Pimps album. Though, I throw some Depeche Mode, NIN and Leonard Cohen in there a lot. It helps you move.
Valkyrie plays music for me in her studio whenever we do a shoot together. I like it She's done a bit of Lady Gaga and Pink in the past from memory. Keeps the shoot nice and upbeat
I like to make a special playlist for every shooting. Depending on the mood and the feeling that I want to have on the photos I put music in the same theme and feeling!

I haven't played music in any SG sets yet but when me and my fella take photos we usually play a bit of VNV Nation or Apoptygma Berzerk, something upbeat

So with you on that!
And NIN, Manson, Rob Zombie... etc etc
I like your taste in music. I would have a great time doing a shoot with you! I have just started to listen to Portishead and Massive Attack. I am really starting to like them.
Thank you everyone for your advice so far. Keepem' rollin"!

Since you like Portishead, you might like Hooverphonic as well. Both their album versions of songs and their remixed versions too.
They aren't as popular as Portishead but fuck...they should be.

Kind of off topic buuut... I love Hooverphonic!! "Inhaler" is one of my favorites! (If you like Hooverphoic, you may like Mandalay, too. )

Sounds like I should really look into Hooverphonics then, Massive Attack and Portishead are both like on my top five bands to listen to if I had to pick all time favourites.

Massive Attack & Portishead, I love both muchly! For that reason I also tried Hooverphonics out but against my hopes I could not get that crazy into it.
For sets I remember I had Moloko and Kosheen in my playlist.

It's cool, Bex. We totally understand that your ability to have good taste in music is gonna be skewed by that whole VW/Porshe thing for a while.
