i love it. while i'm on myspace i get to look at the girls as well. i'm not going to complain. and if promoting your band/site/company by buying ads is selling out, i'm one of the biggest sell outs of all time.

I think she was kidding, There's always some asshole who belives that any sprt of promotion or attempt to spread the word in any way besides word of mouth is somehow a sell-out. Or perhaps that the place you are advertising isn't approved by the hipster national council.

SG used to advertise on Friendster as well. The more the merrier.

selling out has nothing to do with advertizing techniques, it has more to do with abandoning starting principles in favor of making more cash. Suicidegirls would need to hire pro-fotographers and models, hike up membership rates, charge for picture storage and hookups, or offer gross fetishism for extra $$$ to sell out. I think the people in charge respect thier audence and employees enough not to do that stuff, at least not yet.
